  1. There is really no need to argue. The American people already spoke tonight. Elections matter, opinions on this forum really don't.
  2. Hey man, whatever helps people not come out of school 100k in debt, or get sick and go broke. I've been in the workforce for ten years and have yet to see the sort of corporate generosity and rosy-posy trickle down that Republicans talk about out in the real world. Seen a couple companies that treat their employees good, and the vast majority would likely pay you $1/hr if only the law didn't say they can't. I see you are a immigrant from a communist country so I can understand your aversion to this sort of thinking. I assure you, despite all the conservative straw man boogey man arguments, liberal people aren't sitting around hoping to install soviet communism in the USA. I'm on a gun forum so I think my stance on nanny state is pretty obvious, and yes i like the scary black guns too. People are just tired. Tired of being paid like shit, treated like shit, starting ten steps behind some guy born with a silver spoon in his mouth, wearing glasses with the wrong prescription cause they cant afford an eye exam, you get the picture. I know a lot of people are also tired of aspiring to antiquated ideals written by a handful of extremely wealthy men 250 years ago for an agrarian society. The kind of society that bases its economic and labor ideals on a doctrine written before the industrial revolution. Yes things like freedom of speech, religion, equal protection, due process, are timeless. But voting on a Tuesday because you can't travel on the Sabbath and Wednesday is market day is not. Also, the social stance of most conservatives is flat out laughable to people my age. Legitimate rape? Holding panels on abortion with no women present? Saying you "tasted a beer once as a wayward youth and never again" (actual Romney quote). Against contraceptives? Yeah sure, we'll all just wait until marriage to have sex. You know, like they did in that American Pie movie. LOL. It's just laughable. The guy made it almost to the office of the president of the USA and no one ever asked him "Hey man, you seriously believe black people are cursed with their dark skin because of the sins of Cain?" That's just the kind of bs that makes them have 0 credibility with anyone now, and it's only going to get worse as time goes on. There's a common ground and I hope that in my lifetime, as the spoiled rotten baby boomers, who reaped all the benefits of the "easy mode" 50s die off that maybe I will see it in my lifetime.
  3. Like I said, perhaps installing a magazine adapter is impressive to a guy who sits behind a desk 40 hours a week. But for men who work in skilled trades, with tools, who have been building, wiring, welding, assembling, disassembling shit for 10 years, installing a magazine well is not a big deal. I'm sorry, it's really not.You know what's a pain in the ass, adjusting and pre loading pinion lash on a differential. I know you feel proud of your accomplishment and that's great for you, but it's kind of funny watching people worship you over a project that requires a dremel and a couple hand tools sitting at a table. Come on now. You and I both know it's really not that hard.
  4. People call it "mindless" to vote for Obama. I don't know about you guys, but for most of my generation, health insurance and student loans are pretty big issues. But hey, whatever helps you sleep better at night. Surely you are the white knight defenders of hope, freedom, and the 1% way, and all those mindless zombies are the bad guys. Do you really think a man who claims to believe God lives on Planet Kolob with his many wives should have nuclear launch codes?
  5. Oh boy, vladtepes, surely you are a true master of your craft. You are the only guy who can use a dremel and read some sticky threads I bet. I'm sorry, but if you really think you're something special because of converting Saigas, I don't know what's funnier, you or the people that think you're special.
  6. I believe in a government that is benefitted neither by Obama nor Romney.
  7. I was thinking the same thing. I don't understand the allure of big ass 15 round magazines. Or why Clintoon is about to go down on vlad. Masterpiece? lol dude it's a Saiga conversion. Can you not turn an allen key? Change two screws for the AR-style stock?
  8. I'm getting a good laugh at all the "cased and unloaded" carriers. Talk about a security blanket. Sit in your driver's seat, and have someone startle you. See how long it takes and how involved it is to exit the vehicle, open a rear door/trunk, open the rifle case, grab the rifle, insert the magazine and charge it. And tell me someone couldn't just jump your ass the second you got out of the vehicle, heck I'd be surprised if they wouldn't just clean your clock as you're stepping out. Maybe then you'll realize what a silly thing you did.
  9. Nuh uh, Mipafox you are wrong. Here in America we are special and amazing and Mitt Romney will win NJ and give national CCW for all. Do you hear that? That's the sound of a REPUBLICAN bald eagle flying overhead, squawking loudly as he clutches a Holy Bible in one claw, an AR-15 (the weapon of our heroes) in the other claw, and the American Flag hangs from his mouth as he flies over and educates Obama voters.
  10. I had a rifle refinished with cerakote once. Keep in mind there are two cerakote products. One is the DIY air-cure type, the other is a professional bake-on finish. I had it done professionally and baked on. It was incredibly durable, the surface was very, very smooth and you could tell by the way grease/oil slid along it. It also looked very nice and uniform in color and texture. There is also Aluma-Hyde, I'd look into that as well for DIY. It's incredibly finnicky and I'd suggest not using ANYthing that comes out of a spray can at this time of the year as the temperature makes for an inferior time. Unless of course you are working in a heated indoor environment.
  11. News Flash - No one wants you owning guns. Bush II, Romney, Obama, Clinton, Gore, Kerry, Reagan, Bush, Dole, not a single candidate for presidency in the last 30 years has wanted you to own guns. The Republicans put on an act at the national level but are by no means pro gun. Either way, if you think that any candidate existing within the bought and paid for two party oligarchy is somehow better or worse than any other candidate, you need to pass whatever it is you're smoking over this way. If you think the world is so simple, that our problems are so clean and cut and dry, that the "common sense" answer to all this can be found in a 1:03 Youtube video, that arguing with me on a forum is an example of your vast and brilliant political knowledge you have gleaned through mainstream news websites, forums, and youtube, then you're on a completely different level than I am. I wish it was so simple buddy. I really wish it was.
  12. So vote for Obama, because Romney already supported and signed an Assault Weapons Ban as governor of MA? Whereas Obama "wants to" Mittens "already has" Simply put, both of these guys are anti gun. It's more a matter of, you want to anti gun guy or the anti gun guy who believes God lives on Planet Kolob with his many wives? Wow man, you must be smokin some of that purple shit, huh? Pass it over here pal cause I want some too. LOL man of his word.
  13. I'd love to join in the anti-union circle jerk but having just worked in 3 non-union shops and now in a union one, let me tell you the difference is fantastic. I LIKE not being completely screwed on pay, written up for things like "walking to slow" or other such nonsense. Unions are not perfect, but just remember, every single liberty you have at work - from 8 hour shifts, overtime, and weekends, to safe conditions and job security, was opposed by corporations and fought for by unions.
  14. The problem you have is that you view things in an unrealistic fashion. As someone above beat me to it, Miranda was no choir boy but his rights were important. If you're waiting for a 43 year old, white American married father middle income suburban NJ resident properly locking his guns up in his car and getting roughed up by the JBTs coming home from the range for no reason, you're stupid. Change does not come from the quiet, perfect little goody two shoes ones. It's the ones like this lady who make for good cases and until you and several million others get that through your heads, you'll live in a state where you have to go lick boots and beg the cops to let you own that Bearcat .22 you want. Case in point look at the fat guy from Oregon who decided he wanted to win a 1st amendment case. He flipped off each and every cop he ever saw. They gave him lots of tickets and he took it to court. Now I think this jackass Peter Griffin lookalike needs a hobby, but he still has 1st amendment rights. So anyway he took it to the courts and now, the bird is now protected by the first amendment, and I believe he still flips off people whenever he feels like it.
  15. And how about you? How about the other people on all the gun forums I see? You don't think I have apprehensions about them owning guns? You don't think I am a little apprehensive about the guy on the gun forums showing pictures of his 72 AR-15s while talking about how the government is being secretly controlled by the reptoid aliens? It doesn't make me a little uneasy when the guy talking about how our filth and sin is going to bring on God's wrath and the apocalypse next tuesday is posting videos of how fast he can do magazine transitions? Does it make you uneasy when people on Stormfront talk about the coming "race war" at length in a forum where they also discuss guns? But that isn't how it works in a FREE SOCIETY. It doesn't matter what you think, or feel, about someone's beliefs. It doesn't matter what you perceive their intentions to be. Actions carry weight, not predictions.
