Jim Norman replied to Jim Norman's topic in Competitive & Fun Shoot Discussion
Applications are up on the OBCATS.com websitefor the USPSA Match and the 3-Gun The Stoeger M3K 3-Gun version may or may not be available, but you will still need to have work done on it. They don't relieve the loading port as much and the rigger is not worked. You'll also need a tube nut and a tube. -

There are only two ways to win at this match. 1) WIn overall being the best of the best 2) Dunb luck: Divisions will be split into three groups, so you might shoot just good enough or bad enough to win. This is NOT a National Championship. It is a match where we can play with our toys and have fun with our friends. -
OK, We are going to try it again. January 25th 5 Divisions: Open, Tac-Optic,Tac-Iron, Tac-Optic Pump, Tac-IronPump Setup starts at 0730 Sign up at OBCATS.com

3-Gun @ Old BridgeDecember 28th
Jim Norman replied to Jim Norman's topic in Competitive & Fun Shoot Discussion
Stu, You need to have the ability to carry 2-3 extra rifle mags, 2-3 extra pistol mags, probaby 24 Shotshells in addition to what is in your gun.. You will need a sling for your rifle. If you have shot IDPA you should be OK. We will put you with a squad that will look out for you. -
For anyone wondering what to do Sunday after Christmas, we'll be running a 3-Gun/Multi-gun match at Old Bridge. Look for 5-7 stages. Set up starts at 0730, we want to be shooting by 1000. Sign up at www.OBCATS.com. Divisions: Open, Tac Optic, Tac Iron, TO Pump SG and TI Pump SG. All divisions are subject to participation. OBCATS Sunday October 26th

I MIGHT get around to figuring it all out and posting tonight. Have to see how the rest of the day goes. -
Our next Knockdown Steel Match (11/08/14) is going to be a tactical shotgun match. It will be much like a USPSA match shot with shotguns only. There will be movement on almost every stage. The round count for this match will be about 175 rounds of birdshot (8 or 7 1/2) and about 10 slugs. Please preregister here There will be only three divisions for the match: Semiautomatic, Open and Pump.

The link for registration is open. We area asing everyone that comes out to shoy up a little early and help out this month. Several of the regular staff will be away and any additional help will be graetly appreciated.

10/11/14 OBRPC Knockdown Steel
Jim Norman replied to High Exposure's topic in Competitive & Fun Shoot Discussion
Today's match is cancelled due to the rain. Much too hard to tape the targets in the rain -
If you shot a Pump SG or Iron Sights please let me know ASAP If I have enough people I'll split you out to a seperate prize pool we want to pay as deep as is possible. As for more 3-GUn Matches. Yes we are crazy (insane) enough to say yes. Not sure when. We don't have extra time on the range to run them so we have to take away a USPSA match to do this. We would like to hear from all of you what you liked, what you want more of and what you think we can do better.
-
We still have slots open. Get out to the range early and help us put this match on the ground and we'll make sure you get in.
-
Old Bridge is hosting a USPSA RO Class Nov 1 & 2. We have 5 slots open. Contact me for application
-
This match will be run under the USPSA capacity rules so that will not be an issue. And stage design will effectively negate most reasons to cheat anyway.
-
Yes, there is no USPSA Match this month. We announced it at OB ND CJ for the last 3 months and it is on the OBCATS Website. Next month we are back to USPSA until we decide to run another 3-Gun
-
A single point sling is OK if you can manage your gun with it. Two point slings are easier MOST of the time. Both have their place. 10 slugs should be adequate. We usually don't use that many.
-
There will be a 3-gun match Sunday September 28th. Registration link is up on OBCATS. 5-6 stages. no sling on SG, may need one on Rifle, there wil be Slugs and Reactive steel, maybe clays. Staegs are not yet complete. We have a limited number of slots available. Jim

Jim Norman replied to Vlad G's topic in Competitive & Fun Shoot Discussion
His pistol can't see well and needs corrective lenses so it can hit targets.
