  2. Don't think you can buy guns at at NJ gun show. Per being sunday, no nj nics even if you could.
  3. Last meeting I went to there was about 300 members that their FOB's were turned off. But there has been a steady stream of new members coming in. So it balances out. But never had to wait for the pits or a lane in the indoor.
  4. +1 for Casos. Plus 3.5% sales tax. Bought my last 2 guns there. great people. Only problem is PARKING... And its not in a great area of Jersey City, just be careful.
  5. Form, NRA Card, and a Check. Bring a Pistol and like 50 rounds. I only shot 5. They look for gun safety. Starts at 6:30 and runs to 9:30. You can pay 1/2 of the capital fee $200 instead of $400 and you can pay it off.
  6. Glad to help out a future member....If anyone needs a sponsor for their application, PM me for the info.
  7. You wont get past the gate, and the gate is not in view from the ranges, really. So nobody can really open up the gate to let you in. They do have tuesday and thursday morning trap, but thats for members only. You might give Bob Roddy a call 908-907-2321 or email [email protected] he is the VP and in charge of new memberships. Unless you get someone that can be there to guest you in, its kinda hard to get in. There is a new member meeting next Wednesday. You can tour the facility then, and ask questions to Bob or the other guys running the meeting. If i lived closer and could make it during the week I would give you a tour. Maybe someone on here can meetup... If there going...
  8. I noticed that at first. I was using way more than i needed. A little went a long way. I was leaving the cap open to the bottle the whole time, stunk the whole basement up. Kept the cap on and used very little on the patches and rags. Can't help you out on other cleaning stuff, I have always used Hoppes 9.
  9. Thanks for the heads up, looks like a AR run tomorrow in the AM..
  10. Thanks for all the info. I am probably leaning on buying a complete unit, and then building the next one. I guess no one really stocks ar "parts" local. Most of the parts for the builds on here have been ordered online. I thought maybe a shop has parts in stock, I can eyeball. Sometimes it's hard to see stuff online and hate to order stuff I won't like. Any know who stocks or order a Stag ar-15's? Preferably in north jersey ? Even PA ? Thanks!
  11. Finally decided on getting into the AR arena. I was wondering which are some good local shops that stock AR parts and whole AR's ? Leaning towards a Stag Model 3 for a complete unit. But have not really decided if I want to build one. Would be nice to shop around a bit. Also does Cabelas have AR stuff on the shelves ? Thanks in advance...
  12. Happend to me in the same exact spot about 15 years ago, but it went into the windshield of my work truck. Didn't hit me but had some small pieces of glass in my arm. That area is known for this to happen, I avoid it like the plague now. Here is another twist, they are replacing the viaduct from UC to Hoboken and have been using some big equipment to take down that bridge, I wonder if all the vibrations are causing the blue stone retaining wall to fail in certain areas. A BIG section fell in April 2007 from a storm we had. I had some work in Hoboken under the viaduct recently, and the ground was vibrating like crazy.
  13. Just and Update.. Nothing about BF/GF... But one Shot to the head... Nice Job WPD Barrett Jr.! http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/2012/03/woodbridge_center_mall_shootin.html
  14. Seen a Clifton cop put down a rabid skunk one day. He said something about having ceramic ammo for this reason.
  15. Thanks for the info, Was not home to check the mags. I have the 229-1. Thanks!
  16. Will the 13rd 9mm mags fit the new E2 p229, also what about the SS Guide Rod. ?
  17. Thats what im going to do. I didn't think to email them sooner, but I did today and got that info from Bob. Did not have enough time to head home, fill out the app, and get down there by 6:30 without rushing, plus the weather was crappy for the shooting part. Next month for sure. 3/28
  18. You can print out the conformation email from the NRA and bring that until you get the package. Got that info from Bob (membership VP).
  19. Instead of the wireless plan you offer are you able to piggyback onto a Verizon's Home Connect ? It's home cell service with the use of a cell receiver that your home phones plug into. No traditional copper lines involved, and has a 8hr battery backup if the power goes out.
  20. Don't know if you have a dedicated range bag, But I just picked up one of these, and they are great. A lot of storage space for just about anything. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/939259680/midwayusa-competition-range-bag
  21. After watching a ton of vids on Youtube, I gotta get me one of these..... Maybe 2...
  22. All ladders have a tip/load rating. Many "Ladders" are about 500lbs fully extended but since that ladder is retracted a bit, it may be more. Best rig for all around fire/rescue is the Seagrave Aerialscope , lift capacity is 1500lbs with boom extended at any angle, 1000lbs with 2 FF's in bucket, 5000lbs with boom retracted... But a little pricey.. About 1.2 million.
  23. Thats a Delta #1115 switch, not made anymore but can be fixable see here: http://owwm.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=36303&start=0&hilit=delta+1115 and http://wiki.vintagemachinery.org/Fixing%20a%20Dead%20Switch.ashx Hope this helps..
