  1. I assume you are freshwater fishing, so this shouldn't be as big of a deal but be careful when handling braid with a fish on the end, it can cut you very easily.
  2. I bought 500 rounds of the .223 a while back. I think it was the blaster ammo but im not sure, whatever was the cheapest. It came packed loose in a box, some dented cases but all went bang and fed/ extracted perfectly. No complaints at all.
  3. Is there anybody local to south Jersey that does bedding jobs. I have a savage 10 that i just got a manners stock for. I'm also waiting for my CDI bottom metal to come in. I was going to attempt to do it myself but now I'm second guessing myself. I want to make sure its done right the first time. This is the gun as it sits now, i couldn't wait to sit the action in the stock to see how it looks. Savage 10 FCP-K .308 Manners T4 stock Ken Farrell 20 moa base Ken Farrell rings Bushnell elite tactical 6-24x50 scope Harris HBRS 6-9 bipod
  4. I have an 870 express tactical with the 6 round magazine tube and the 18.5" barrel. I bought a 28" barrel to put on there for the occasional times that i shoot trap. However the barrel lugs are in different spots. Everything else works fine, barrel fits into the reciever fine, foregrips clears the barrel lug fine, action cycles fine. My question is can i make a spacer to fill the gap in between the barrel lug and the nut, so that the barrel will stay in place? I have access to a lathe and im sure i can make it to the correct length. Or should i return the barrel? My current barrel on top, and new barrel on bottom. New barrel on gun.
  5. Its still there i picked up a case of 40 and a case of 45. Also just noticed that dicks is having a sale on ammo, works out to be just slightly more than Cabelas for the 40 and 45.
  6. I have one, picked it up at the last VF gun show for 625. I have about 500 rounds through it and only one malfunction that i think was the ammo anyway. I also have a scope on it, the front sight doesnt bother me at all, i can barely see it. Just comes up as a small black blur at the bottom. Overall i am very happy with it.
  7. Thanks for the help guys. I think i am going to try to spend a little less than 1000 on the rifle so that i can spend a little more on the glass.
  8. I guess im not really, its just the only one that i have shot before and it seems to be what most people are using. Figured that it must be decent if alot of people are using it. But im open to other suggestions.
  9. I know this has been talked about a hundred times but im kinda lost about which gun to get. A few things i have decided on so far... I want a .308, remington 700, and it will be used for target shooting only. Right now i have access to a 300 yd range, with the possibility of up to 1000 yd in the future. I dont know if i will ever shoot that far but i dont want to limit myself either. I have been looking at the XCR tatical long range but i have been reading that it is better to start with a more basic rifle and modify it as you go. Looking to keep it around $1000 not including a scope.
  10. I just picked up a Sig p229 from Lawman. They have a small gun room, and since they primarily sell to LE its mostly all glock, xd/xdm, and sigs. They seem to have pretty good prices though, and carry atleast one of each model. The guy at the counter was really nice and helpful. Only downside i see so far is the hours; 9-5 M-F.
  11. Taken from telco's website. MONDAY NIGHT TRAP IS SHUT DOWN, IT WILL RESUME ON THE FIRST MONDAY IN MARCH AT 6PM SUNDAY TRAP WILL BEGIN ON JANUARY 15th AT NOON, AS ALWAYS IT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
  12. Welcome. I live close by in the Merchantville / Pennsauken area.
  13. I have bought handgun ammo at dicks in cherry hill twice so far. Both times it was very easy; handed over FID and license he wrote in log book and was out in under 10 mins. Guess it depends on the store and manager.
  14. 1. Application type. Initial Firearms I.D. + 2 Pistol Purchase Permit 2. Police Department where you applied. Pennsauken Police Department 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD. Audrey R. 4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit. 10 weeks 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form). Standard application form and mental health release form. 6. Notes - anything pertaining to the application process. Finger prints were done by morpho; cost was around $60. The lady that handled the FID was only there from 10-12 and 1-3 Tuesday - Thursday, this made it difficult to get there with a normal job,
