Quickest permit turnaround time?
dtown223 replied to gunnarsport's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
Against the law to issue a permit in 4-5 days? -
Hi Ty, Any chance of shipping HK G3 mags for modification to 15rds? http://www.midwayusa.com/product/477614/military-surplus-magazine-hk-g3-hk91-ptr-91-cetme-308-winchester-20-round-5-pack-aluminum-black

Anyone have experience getting a S&W action job done in the northern NJ area? I'm considering sending my 686 to the factory for a tuneup, was wondering if anyone would recommend a local guy.

Lost interest, but maybe back

Would worry me if you weren't!Where the F is RayRay though? can't we all get along? -

It's still going..I almost wish they'd end this promo, cause I'm not sure I can stop!

Both the EAG uppers do, and a light and gift certificate towards training IIRC.

ladies and gentleman I stand corrected

FYI this is for all the uppers that I browsed, not just this example

What did you take to the range most recently?

time to zero the new setups -
I'm totally on the fence, I like the bit of holster wear, but I also like the really deep lustrous blue as well.. I'm thinking the answer might be get a brand new 586

I'm considering having my 19-3 refinished, it's not in bad shape, just kinda kicking the idea around. S&W turnaround is 7 months to have it re-blued, so I was wondering if anyone had experience doing this, and who they'd used?

squeezing in here with a 3" S&W 686+, Altamont super rosewood boot grip

This isn't unusual at all, as some of us have sadly come to find out. what makes it worse is hearing all the excuses and KNOWING it's total bullshit. I've waited 7+ months hearing crap like "it's the state, it's the mental health form" meanwhile, 5 miles away in the same county, my brother got his P2P issued in six days. SMH

So, a standard AR-15 loaded would be illegal in a vehicle, but an SBR, full auto rifle or shorty shotgun loaded is ok? Seems...odd? How did this law come about?
-
that's always a spirited debate.. there are lots of folks who will turn their noses up at del-ton, but I also know experienced, knowledgeable guys who'll swear by them. I ended up using BCM uppers for my builds, because for not too much more, they're a manufacturer who has a outstanding reputation. I've owned a DTI upper, and can say the fit and finish was pretty damn good for what it cost. The real difference is in the details though, features like high pressure testing magnetic particle testing..the types of steel used in the bolt etcetera..
-
figured I'd throw in a little cautionary post in case anyone was in a hurry. Thanks for putting this up, it really is a good deal
-
DTI does have great deals, I've had bad experiences with items advertised as "in stock" actually being on indefinite back order.

dtown223 replied to Jim Norman's topic in Competitive & Fun Shoot Discussion
I'd love to participate, and would gladly volunteer my help, but I'm severely restricted time-wise due to work and family obligations. This sounds really cool though, I hope you guys have a great match-have fun!
