I have a friend (no really, a friend, not me) who is thinking about taking his NJ compliant AR to a range in NY.

I haven't finished reading the NY SAFE legislation.....

My opinion is that this is a bad idea

Am I wrong ?

Jefferson Twp (Morris County) still requires two references for PP. My references live in towns that don't ask for references. They laugh at me when I mention it.

You'll probably acquire more guitars over time. And guitars are not limited to a specific style. Joe Bonamassa is incredible on a LP. Find the LP you like. Play the heck out of it.

Go play alot of guitars at different music stores. Look at new and used. Try to determine which `feels best ` in your hands. Then plug them in to hear the electronics. As others have mentioned, more money doesn't mean more better.

I am currently enrolled in the Joe Biden Academy for Self Defense (JBSD). I follow all of his advice: I have a loaded double barrel shotgun by the front door. I called the academy hotline to ask for an approved JBSD strategy. The nice lady connected me through to Uncle Joe. I could not believe my luck! Uncle Joe told me he recommends that if I was walking down the street, I could roll across the hood (or trunk) if I was bumped by a car. In this way I would not have my car stolen at gunpoint. I can't wait to update the JBSD newsletter and get it out to the other fellers.

For LEOs I strongly believe it should be any on or off duty weapons.

 

*disclosure: I am not an LEO, and no I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night so I can't pretend to be one.

 

I also heard on the radio that retired LEOs may also be included in the excemption. I also support this.

 

As far as "more equal", most citizens have not locked up people that might hold a grudge against them.
