  1. The Bill of rights come to mind lol,j/k. Check out the link I posted, http://flexyourrights.org/, while it's not NJ specific. It's a good overview of your 4th&5th amendment rights. There's videos with acted out scenario, with law professors explaining the situation. Our rights in NJ, isn't that an oxymoron? haha
  2. Some cool shirts, some funny, some stupid. I can almost guarentee that none of it's made in the USA, but still some funny shirts to piss off your left wing friends. http://www.therightshirts.com/political/cpshop.cgi/progunshirts
  3. Ok that's what I was getting at. I have a fairly good understanding of the 4th amendment. But wasn't sure if the 4th amendment would protect you, if you were "illegally" carrying to protect your vehicle from a car-jacker. But now I know I can not.
  4. Now I'm even more confused. By property I meant, that your vehicle is an extension of your home. You are allowed to have a firearm on your persons, while on your land.(Walking around your house, or your yard.) So if my truck is an extension of my home[my property] why wouldn't I be allowed to protect myself, truck, and family; the same way I would if I was walking around my house?
  5. Could you elaborate on what this statement (in bold) means please?
  6. You confused me a lil bit, so could I legally carry a gun on my persons, while I'm driving around in my vehicle? ONLY in my vehicle, I will not get out at all, am I within the law? Also should be noted, if a leo really wants to search your vehicle, "I smell marjiuana" is all the pc that is needed. If anyone is interested in protecting your personal rights, look over the link I posed. There's some good info., they're trying to sell a dvd but still some good info. on the site itself.
  7. I found this the other day, it's interesting to read. http://flexyourrights.org/faq Not enough people are fully aware of their rights. And because of this are scared of cops. On a side-note, out of curiosity does it specifically say in nj law, that your vehicle is not an extension of you personal property? I know some states it is, and you can carry in your property(vehicle), but is it a law in nj?
  8. http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/19258-njsp-letter-to-chiefs-proving-ppps-cannot-be-limited/ Maybe you should print this out and drop it off for everyone at your local pd to read. At least the captain knows the laws.
  9. I haven't seen this on here yet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7GFo1U5kew
  10. I also understand his reasoning behind it, but I would never endorse burning a flag. But..is it weird that this doesn't bother me at all compared to someone descecrating a U.S. flag. Burn an American flag in front of me and we're gonna fight, but a state flag doesn't seem to bother me... Is that weird?
  11. Sorry to hijack but do you guys mind sharing why you're recommending chrome or firefox, over IE?? I'm not a computer person, and you got me curious.
  12. You can understand why I took it the way I did, reading it seemed to have a sarcastic tone to it. But if that wasn't your intention than it's all good in the hood, haha. I'm all for preparation, only the prepared survive. The show is on tonight, so I'm sure we'll have plenty more to discuss after tonight. Even if I could still ruck march, I had to turn in the saw when I left.
  13. Getting pretty heated over nothing. FYI, it wasn't me on the doomsday show. I was merely guessing at why this guy loaded bikes onto his bug-out trailer. Obviously I can't read this guys mind, but other then as a 2nd means of transportation why else would he take bicycles on a bug-out. He said it takes 30mins by truck to get to his bug-out location, without knowing how far in miles it was, I can't speculate how long of a bike ride it would be. If I recall he lived in a deset area of the southwest, so if there was mass-hysteria, it wouldn't be nearly as bad as it would be here in the NYC metropolitan area. Haha, you dare me to try this. Well, I don't have any family but I've done 20+mile ruck marches, with a 60 pound pack, while carrying an m249. Does that equate to a 5 mile bike ride in your book? It's a Television Show.
  14. Even if the gov't doesn't tell us, there are people who monitor all this stuff. Who don't work for the gov't, who will put out the info. to the public if they can. I don't think anyone would try and tow a trailer with a bicycle. But if his truck was disabled he could throw his bob over his back and ride to his safehouse. A bicycle for each family member, each carrying a bag.
  15. Well I hope they are. But the corrupt protect, their corrupt partners. Never know who this guy has in his pocket, or could blackmail.
  16. Good point but if they fell under the same exclusion, then why would they specifically name a select few 'bad' knifes? NJs knife laws are way too vague. I asked the detective in my town, if mine was legal. He pulled out the law book and said there is no law on length. And told me my 10" bowie knife was acceptable, I carry it everywhere, and never had a problem with le.
  17. Very good point. Whether open carry is the best option for your own personal safety is a subject worthy of discussion. But if a state allows ccw they should allow oc, because it is beneficial to those who ccw. It should be your choice how you want to carry your firearm. I was reading about gun laws in TX, you can't open carry in TX. I can't find the site where I read this but basically it was Texas gun owners talking about how they ran into legal issues because there ccw was prinitng. It wasn't a few people complaing either, it was at least 2 forum pages of people running into this same legal issue.
  18. Something doesn't look right?!! Lol Do you see it?
