  1. You answered your own question. When people can't afford to shoot their .22s without taking a second mortgage, they seek out cheaper alternatives. Simple as that.

    Scary!

Does he take the carjackers gun, or have his own?
  3. We've already had a discussion about politics being kept more in the open a week ago, politics wasn't the point of my post. I'll try to summarize for you....people should stop b!tching about things they read on the computer. If you don't want to read about "Adam Kokesh arrested at pot rally" don't click on the link....if you can't surmise that a thread about someone getting arrested at a rally could lead to people saying things about police then you are clueless. I am having no trouble finding threads to read, if the subject line intrigues me I click on it....once I'm in the thread if there is no new knowledge I can gain from reading further, I simply click the back button. Obviously, not everyone feels the way you do....if they did "the shiet" wouldn't get any replies and would quickly fall to the bottom of the pile. Stop trying to censor this forum even more because you have to click the mouse a few extra times.
  4. This forum has gone downhill in the past few months. Everyone wants to b!tch and complain about something. "I don't want to read about this subject, so no body should be able to read about it." If you don't want to read about politics and current news events, stay out of the "GENERAL DISCUSSION" sub-forum. Moderators should start sending out hurt feelings reports to every cry baby on this forum.
  5. http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt?open=512&objID=4451&&PageID=461119&mode=2 Yes, PA check is instant.
  6. I used Rick at OMG Customs in Bayonne.
  7. Not really hard to find, due to the current state of things alot of places are sold out, but PPU makes it and Hornady Grafs & sons. I believe all the milsurp ammo dried up years ago. You are looking at about a dollar a round for new manufactured. From what I've read this thing is a shoulder cannon, meaning when you take it to the range shooting one box of ammo through it will probably be enough enjoyment for one day.
  8. http://www.jgsales.com/steyr-95-34-rifle,-8x56r-straight-pull-bolt-action-rifle,-used,-good-to-very-good-condition-with-no-bayonet.-p-6007.html I bought one from them and it was in very good condition.
  9. I have seen them at Harbor Freight for years.
  10. There are varying degrees of defiance, they did not burn a flag, they did not destroy public or private property; they had a public protest and a handful of people lit up a joint. I don't see how making a few "fat cop jokes" is being hostile; the only hostility I saw in that video was at the hands of the police tackling hippies. It didn't show fights breaking out or mass chaos, just hippies smoking a marijuana cigarette and getting tackled. How were they being hostile or disruptive? Could this have been handled in an entirely different manner..........yes they could have sat at home and wrote letters to their elected officials and nothing would have come of it. But instead they took action and spoke up on the public stage for what they believe in. That is how change is made; defiance changes things.
  11. Adam Kokesh, an activist, who stands up for what he believes is right; in no way compares to an internet conspiracy theorist.
  12. It is easier to punish the group by locking threads, then reprimanding individual posters.
  13. I'm not a pot smoker or a hippie, but it does seem like a waste of resources having all that manpower at a hippie weed convention.
  14. 16 trillion more dollars and we are debt free....yay.
  15. Beautiful looking rifle, out of curiosity how do you tell that it was unissued? Just by it's condition?
  16. Good looking Garand dude, very nice. When you get tired of it, just leave it by Rick's and I'll give ya cash for it.
  17. Gonna throw one more vote in for the M9. I've got one and love it; my buddy has a Baby Eagle and although it is a nice gun it just feels too big and clumsy for me.
  18. Sold out already. I was just thinking today I need a nice 20in. AR upper.
  19. Springfield XD would be my personal choice.
  20. If you research and buy the best parts available, then it would be cheaper to buy one off the shelf. But if you know you are going to swap out the stock, grip, trigger, and hand guards; in the long run it pays to build it to your specs the first time. Buy once, cry once.
  21. Most of the employees are kind of....grumpy in person, so I'm sure they hate answering question over the phone. I was there 4-6weeks ago and I held a K-1911 in my hands and I am pretty sure the display case was filled with K-31s(as it usually is). If you've never been to Sarco it is definitely worth the drive, tons of cool stuff to look at. I am willing to bet they have K-31s in stock they just didn't feel like dealing with people on the phone. But seriously if you want a K-31, for a decent price, order one from Samco Global.
  22. $1k is about what they go for. If you can afford it, I'd buy it. They are getting harder to find now a days, and just like every other old gun the value is only going to go up. As far as what to look for, IDK any specific stuff for this rifle, but check for numbers matching, bore condition, overall appearance, function check, etc.
  23. Sweet gun; until you get to the dis-assembly and cleaning process.
