I haven't completed a CERT program, but one of my partners I run EMS with did and he liked it a lot, said the training would prove to be pretty useful if anything happens.

The commercials were pretty bad, the only good ones were the Chevy bull commercial, and the Budweiser lab commercial.

I would still opt to put in at least 1 tourniquet and possibly an Israeli pressure dressing if you want a pressure dressing. You can pack a wound with the quick clot stuff then put a pressure dressing over top for maximum effect. Once you get everything as un sanitary as it sounds - take it out of the wrappers and plastic and get a feel for how everything is supposed to go on and work, play with it and learn it if you haven't used it before. Also that quick clot might be powder if it is do not open that. just watch youtube videos.
