  1. I'm away on a business trip this week and besides still waiting for an address change on my FID card, plus I'm scheduled for surgery this month yet too. So I'll be out there like I said in February or March at the latest. I am looking forward to seeing CJRPC for myself though as it's conveniently located for me. Looking forward to meeting you there some time too.
  2. Thanks, I really need to get out there for a visit etc in the next coming couple of months to help me decide. I'll probably attend a new member orientation meeting in February or March. But I am highly interested in the CJRPC.
  3. Welcome! (And I agree, it is a great forum!)
  4. Thanks Guys, My only other concern is how free the ranges really are or are they constantly taken up by pre-scheduled groups etc? Indoor / Outdoor pistol ranges, trap / skeet ranges etc.
  5. Tom, Is the $400 Capital Contribution fee a one time fee? Or is that also an annual fee too?

    S&W 1911 Pro 9mm

Traditionally I can agree, as that is what a 1911 brings to mind. Then i priced ammo and quickly changed my mind. Besides that, I want to limit my calibers to just a few and am trying to keep it to .40 S&W and 9mm luger.
  7. We got about 1.5" is all. Nothing to bother with shoveling never mind using the snowblower. Figures, after last winter I paved and bought a brand new heavy duty Ariens Pro 32 with a 13hp motor on it. That's the kiss of death for snow (we won't get any now.) LOL

    S&W 1911 Pro 9mm

Very nice Dan, I've got the very same one on order via my FFL who is confident he will locate one for me. It's got clean classic lines doesn't it? Can't wait to get mine!
  9. Yea I also considered the TLR-3 too but I decided to go with price. The TLR-3 is going for $80 - $100 depending on where you buy it and this S&W just seemed like too good a deal to pass up. Besides, it's going on an S&W M&P anyway (not that it matters). But like you said, for HD use, it should be just fine, especially for the money. Check out those Novatacs too, now that's a sweet deal right there. One of those will be right beside my HD weapon(s) too. I ordered two Novatacs and one S&W Micro-90 and I think I paid about $6.95 total for shipping.
  10. Smith & Wesson 952 (9mm Performance Center) I just don't want to pay for it. (But I am getting an SW1911 Pro Series in 9mm.)
  11. Maksim, you are right of course. No excuses for breaking that rule.

  13. http://www.batteryju...on-micro90.html Smith & Wesson Micro-90 Compact Weapon Light (LED) $58.95 plus a few dollars shipping. This is a good deal and seems to be at least $10 - $15 less then you can find it anywhere else. I just ordered one.
  14. Congrats! I like that all government - all business "look" to it. Re: the ammo, I just ordered a 1911 too but I am getting 9mm specifically because of ammo cost. enjoy it!
  15. Personally, I wouldn't "rock the boat" at this point. But that's just me...
  16. None that I am aware of. It will be interesting to see if and when I pick up my new FID if the State Police request my old one at that time.
  17. 30-45 minutes tops only because the snow isn't starting till early morning anyway. Early flights in shouldn't get too stacked up. You're lucky its 6am and not 9 or 10 a.m.
  18. His weapon was proven to be defective / overly worn too which aided in the accident plus it was "borrowed" and one of the first times using it. Thats not a good recipe for a competition.
  19. If you're in central NJ (especially towards the shore) this guy gives pretty good forecasts and has proven to be qquite accurate in his forecasting: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000985119228
  20. Plus, if you yourself aren't careful and destroy it and it gets into the wrong hands, it could come back to haunt you.
  21. I recently filed for a change of address via my local State Police. They returned the old card to me and did not confiscate it. I do think the Staties have a better feel for "what is correct" then perhaps some local PDs and in a way I am glad we have Staties for our local jurisdiction.
  22. I just found out one of the forum vendors here is actually my neighbor whom I know casually. I didn't know he was an FFL though. It's a small world and he lives on my same street nearby. Needless to say I intend to use him as my FFL and I do appreciate everyone else's time and energy in quoting me. Thanks for that. Ken
  23. Which is why I myself am just thinking of joining CJRPC. Yea it's allot of money in dues etc but then you can go whenever and as much as you want, plus there's much more available to do then just an indoor range.
