  1. Unfortunately, that is going to be the end of this country. They destroy the state they live in, then hate the high cost, so they leave and destroy another state and then another. Kinda like a plague. Needs to be eradicated.

In 1994, I went out to Aurora, OR and interviewed for a job and way back then, the chief pilot told me how all of the California a**holes were moving to OR and destroying it.

Probably part of the liberal plan, move from state to state until you destroy them all.

    Brilliant minds think alike...

  2. There is another thread on this forum stating Larues intentions.

Here is a letter I have drafted and would like some input before emailing.

    Dear fellow Americans,

Please note that I have emailed most of the big name gun manufacturers that sell arms in the United States. I respectfully ask that you copy and forward this email to any other competing manufacturer or sister corporation that I have not listed. United we stand, Divided we fall.

As a civilian gun and ammunition purchaser, I implore you to deny sales of any ammunition, weapon or repairs to any government agency, quasi government agency, GOC (Government owned corporation), SOE (State owned corporation), or any third party business that supplies such entities until there is legal parity between the rights of the civilian population and the government to purchase said goods and services.

    Sincerely,

    Joe Taxpayer

  3. its not hard guys. Go to the webpages of S&W, Ruger, Colt, FN, Remingon, Glock, Mossberg, Kimber, Sig, Bushmaster, etc and click on the "Contact Us" button nearly everyone has.

Then call them or write them a note saying basically if you want me to support you, then support us. Without us, there is not a big enough market for them to exist on government contracts alone.

Yes, I know it will take an hour to contact 20-30 manufacturers. I think its worth it.

Also, contact NSSF, they represent the industry.

    Disregard last post

  4. I think that was the guy for NJ.com

    Looks about the right location

This pic was taken early, there were more than 300 by the mid point of the rally. Should have been 5K or more. Parking was not a problem.

I don't do rallies, parades or any other type of event such as this, but I did this one. Regardless of my busted up legs I stood there and endured the physical pain to show respect for the men and women who came before me who gave their blood for this right. We have reaped the benefit of their sacrifice and It was the absolute least I could do to stand in the rain and cold for a few hours.

I wish the street was open to traffic so that the general public would have seen us gathered. We may have gotten some of the general public to side with us.

My buddy and I hitched a ride with Bryan and NJPilot, Great guys. Thanks for the ride Bryan.

  5. Vladtepes and Pizza Bob got this right. You have to look at this without a New Jersey mentality. Take a ride somewhere outside of NJ into "almost free america" and you'll see a big difference on how firearms are viewed.

    Ditto on Vladtepes and PB.

Maksim is right too, except when he used douche and nutty at #83 and #84 to describe the kid, only because I feel it diminishes the guy. He's a young guy that is questioning authority, or "Antagonizing the Monolith", that is a good thing. That being said, I still want to instinctively call the kid crazy. Or have my "instincts" been modified through media conditioning?

The dispatcher should have cut this off at the beginning and explained the law to the caller so that he would understand what was going on. People need to be conditioned that it's OK to carry a firearm and that criminals are not the only ones that have them. This incident should not have even happened.

It's going to continue to happen, and hopefully (I'm an optomist), will turn into something good. Maybe there will be positive interaction between the police and civilians on this.

It's a shame that some on this board are fighting for the same rights, but still view it with a New Jersey mind set. Aren't we all fighting for the same right? Sometimes the line needs to be drawn in the sand to get change, and some will be offended by it.

  6. I hope this is not disrespectful but I wonder if this is going to set off any copy cat shootings?

I just said last week to my wife that I was thinking about getting a bullet proof vest to wear to the range to protect me from an errant richochet, then coincidently my buddy texted me on the 30th that he is selling his level IIIA kevlar vest. Think I'm going to buy it.

I've seen some scketchy people at Ft. Dix 14.

  7. When I attended an Appleseed event, Josey Wales (aka Nick) spoke about how the British feared the DOM. The Deadly Old Men of America. They were farmer warriors that had nothing to fear and everything to gain. They couldn't run with the young guys, but their field craft and marksmanship pinned down the British lines for hours while the young guns ran up the road to set up the next ambush. The British would kill many of these DOM's, but they rested in peace knowing that their final acts of heroism helped to build and save a nation of independent and free thinking people.

Many of today's veterans have nothing left in their 401k's, no meaningful jobs, the VA benefits blow, hate where they live and essentially would welcome the opportunity to go out in style. Think I'm kidding, they you need to spend some time with our combat veterans. There is a reason our government is worried about church going, gun toting veterans.

Throw in people with incurable diseases, unemployed felons, and the people living on the edge that have lost hope.

  8. Yeah, my tinfoil hat is going on, I'm afraid. Not only because of this, but because of the sheer number of shooting since SH. And no- it's NOT just "the media reporting it more". There's something fishy going on.

Apparently they were shot by a Marine suffering from PTSD that they were trying to help.

Although I do believe some of the commie's that are in office are breathing a sigh of relief.
