  1. Typical politician, the first line should be the warning. "Dear Friend" Do you know him that well to be friends? Do you go out on his boat? Bar-b-que? Help you sheetrock? Does he visit you in the hospital? Tell him your not my friend, your my elected official and you work for me and the others that elected you. So from now on refer to me as "Sir" or "Fellow citizen" until such a time we have experienced victory, defeat, sorrow and joy together. Then we shall be friends. Maybe nj2a should physically drop letters at his office.
  2. Throw a coat or sheet over your stuff. The less advertising th better.
  3. Buy it and the range will come.... You never know who your gonna meet thats got access too 600 and 1K yd lanes.....
  4. I see that AR15.com is one of the plaintiffs. Think NJGF will join the suit against NJ? THE NEW YORK STATE RIFLE & PISTOL ASSOCIATION, WESTCHESTER COUNTY FIREARMS OWNERS ASSOCIATION, SPORTSMEN’S ASSOCIATION FOR FIREARMS EDUCATION, INC., and AR15.COM LLC,
  5. Instilling of fear in the populous is a form of control. I love the news commentary during events like this when they say " Don't worry this is only a drill". Yep, its a drill, till its not. Whehter its a drill for an out of country operation or not, training exercises should not be done in this environment due to safety concerns. Equipment failure and human error are possible. But I'm preaching to the choir. Gotta go work on my hidden bunker.
  6. So there is hope.... They should put you on their customer service payroll for helping me out. What I probally should have included is that my buddy has the same model gun with some cheap ass $10 scope he bought at the pawn shop. We can shoot tighter groups with his setup vs. mine. That makes him happy, but not me so much. He just smiles.......
  7. Thanks for the link Drew, I did order a bunch of stuff but no confirmation. Needless to say they pissed me off. I can understand a failure but thery're response time and organization is lacking. I think I'm going to call a couple other manufacturers tomorrow and if they answer the phone concerning warranty or parts orders then I'll be buying my next piece of hardware from them.
  8. I'm more concerned about the grouping, but as I said I'm hitting out at 400, just not tight groups. I'm gonna try some match ammo and see if that makes a difference. I'll wait and see what happens in the next 6 mos. I'd really be pissed if I had trouble getting it back. The $4 pin is no big deal............. except no one has em in stock. Thanks
  9. I spray the parts with G96 and wipe off the excess with a rag that is wet with the g96. I use a q-tip in the tight spots. I had alot of trouble with a 10/22 and Marlin 60 prior to using this stuff. Thanks for the reply
  10. Thanks for the reply. Are saying it's not an uncommon failure? Think the sonic cleaner has anything to do with it? I'll wait for the brownells cam and shoot some of the ammo you suggested.
  11. It split in half through the hole that the firing pin passes through. Think I'll ever get the gun back if I send it to Stag?
  12. I need some advice guys. I have a stag model 2, got approx 3K to 4K rounds through it and the cam pin in the bolt has failed. Second issue, I, nor anyone else that has shot this gun has been able to get groups tighter than 2" at 100 yrds. (Bad shooter, me, is eliminated because the other guys are very good shooters). I have shot out to 400 yards with this gun hitting an 8" target consistently. Typically shoot 5.56 Federal XM193 55grn ball ammo, I've also shot 2.23 American Eagle 50 grn varmint tip. The weapon has never failed to load, fire or eject (even with the broken pin). Prior to the cam pin failure I had shot about 1K to 1.2K rounds without cleaning. I was curious to see when the weapon would start to have FTL, FTF, FTE issues. I decided to check the gun prior to a Sunday outing and found the failure. I'm wondering if the failure was caused by my sonic solution cleaner, lack of cleaning, or just a faulty pin. The bolt looks fine. Getting through to Stag has been a challenge but they finally sent me a warranty return slip. I also ordered replacement parts, that I have yet to get a confirmation on. Here is my real question. Should I send this weapon back to Stag or just replace the broken pin? I'm afraid in todays climate that I may not get the gun back. I can deal with the accuracy issue, (non-issue?) and I'm not that concerned about replacing a $3 to $8 pin. I ordered some from Brownells too. Thanks
  13. I have the double 15's and had the same problem at first. After you use em for awhile you'll get 15 in it. I've never had a problem with them filling the gun so I'm happy with them. I ordered some double 10's the other day direct from thermold, 15's weren't available. I ordered them Weds and got em today. $34.95 + shipping
  14. How do you get the picture to post larger than a thumbnail? I want to post my custom build Picture properties are .jpg 1280x960 72 dpi 318 kb's
  15. Lighten the mood? Holy crap man, that was horrible. How about, riddlin, paxil, etc. all bad stuff.
  16. I saw a vid an it was the Police. From the video I think it was a prcatice drill quite honestly, but I don't know all the idiosyncrasies of that situation. But for sure there was confiscation.
  17. Welcome! Theres a lot of great advice here. Sometimes theres some ass biting that can be entertaining but I've learned alot from this group about repairs, what to buy, and most import, how to stay out of trouble. Enjoy!
  18. This is juvenile, but I just gotta say it; I'm gonna mail him a 30 page nudie magazine ripped down to 10 pages, that should make him slip on that bannana peel.
