I am in total agreement on the last point. Why be there at all? What threat does it counter? It appears to be a show of force measure. If it makes people feel warm and fuzzy so be it, better that than TSA VIPR teams groping the attractive females outside the stadium.

Come to think of it, there's no way of knowing whether that rifle has live ammunition in it. Could just be there for the photo op.

On the one hand, if you're pro-2A, I can't see being afraid of this. Realistically, however, I can't conceive of the situation which occurs requiring this officer to take a shot. Therefore this is "security theater" like TSA and the unarmed guardsmen in Penn Station. Correct me if I'm wrong LEO's.

I honestly don't see how I'm ever going to be able to sell my house with the current property tax rate here (revalued in 2010). There are already 2 houses in my neighborhood that have been abandoned by their owners, but not foreclosed. I've checked the county records database, both have had NLP's filed but no foreclosure. Another guy who I believe had substantial equity in his house just moved and rented his house to five young guys...good luck with that. The lack of comp sales makes it hard to do a tax appeal. Every listing is too high. One guy who bought for 370k is listed for 307.5k, I think that is the only realistic listing.

New shooter here from metro Hightstown/East Windsor/Cranbury area. Been lurking a while and impressed with the breadth of knowledge and camraderie here. Hope to be able to participate when I have anything worthwhile. My greatest interest is Ithaca shotguns but fascinated by anything special or unique. I constantly cruise the auctions and the internet looking for the next "deal".
