  1. State Sen Mike Doherty is truly one of the good guys.
  2. For all the officer knows, the girl on the porch may be trying to escape from you!! Tough situation all around. Glad it all worked out, except maybe for Bill.
  3. It's kind of refreshing that HDNET doesn't edit for foul language. At least the police aren't making an appearance almost every episode like Jersey Shore. Though you've got to figure, once Trenton gets wind of this show his barber license will be revoked. After last night's episode they probably won't be welcome back at the Long Branch Hilton either (sex in the ladies room).
  4. Here's a nice little throw in at Cabelas Hoppe's cleaning kit $6.88 http://www.cabelas.com/product/Hoppes-Cleaning-Kit/1224234.uts Always handy to have a couple extra for gifts for new shooters.
  5. are pre-1898 firearms exempt from the NYC laws?
  6. I was in the hospital this morning for a colonoscopy. One of the questions they asked me was "do you feel safe at home?" I hate to think what a wrong answer might lead to.
  7. Even so, why would he care what the law is in NJ? If he is in MN? I guess he doesn't want civil liability. For selling you a component that you added to an illegal gun, then went psycho and killed someone with it. Not sure if this makes any sense, but that's par for the course.
  8. This is more honest work than Obama's done his entire life.
  9. For health reasons I may soon have to!! Going in for pictures this week from both ends, not looking forward to it.

  12. Anything that takes the paint off cars can't be good for you.
  13. I bought one of these for my mom. She doesn't use it. Says it sucks too hard. Go figure. :-) With 3 dogs we love our Dyson Animal model but it requires a regular cleanout of the filter compartment as well as the hair which accumulates around the belt drive for the beater brush.
  14. I guess this is kind of the opposite of Doomsday Preppers eh?

  16. Our dysfunctional state at its finest: TRENTON — As if layoffs, demotions, and fighting rising crime were not enough for the city’s police force, Trenton’s finest are running very low on toilet paper, thanks to a dispute over the bidding process for paper products between the city council and administration, officials confirmed yesterday. Shortages also extend to City Hall and Trenton’s senior centers, where supplies of toilet paper and paper towels are expected to run out Monday along with those at police headquarters, council President Kathy McBride confirmed last night. With the contract to order a new, one-year supply of paper products languishing in city council after being shelved three times, supplies are practically non-existent, police say. Policemen’s Benevolent Association president George Dzurkoc said yesterday afternoon he checked the men’s rooms on all three floors of headquarters and found no paper towels and little toilet paper. “It’s beyond dysfunctional,” he said. “You expect there’s going to be some conflict, but my God. Basic necessities. They can’t even get that straight.” “What are we going to have to do, start rationing?” he asked. A $42,000 contract to replenish a 12-month supply of toilet paper, paper towels, and toilet seat covers was voted down in November, December, and January, City Clerk Leona Baylor said. At issue was a “questionable line item … for the purchase of paper hot drink cups,” according to a memo sent to acting Public Works director Harold Hall in October. The line item from the cups was just removed from the contract, and the agreement sent to council for approval without rebidding, the memo reads. That strategy may have backfired, as Muschal and McBride say the deleted line item, the high price — $79.69 apiece for 50 cases of Solo hot drink cups with handles — and the city administration’s handling of the issue made council suspicious and unwilling to approve the contract. “There’s enough blame to go around on both sides,” McBride said. “I always have to function with one goal in mind, and that’s I represent the residents of the city.” The shortages were being noted as early as Jan. 17, when Hall appeared before city council and told members of the governing body the senior centers were running low on paper goods. “You people don’t want us to spend money prior to it being approved by city council,” Hall said. “We’re just about out, and I think we’re going to have an issue when these centers start to come down to City Hall and I don’t have an answer.” Hall could not be reached for comment in his office yesterday afternoon, while Mayor Tony Mack could not be reached on his cell phone. McBride said she voted to approve the contract along with Councilman Alex Bethea and Councilwoman Verlina Reynolds-Jackson in January. “I am disappointed,” McBride said, explaining that city council had an obligation to keep Trenton running properly. Muschal said he voted in favor of the resolution when it was first introduced Nov. 22, but did not remember how he had subsequently voted. Fire headquarters remained stocked with toilet paper, Battalion Chief Ronald Kosztyu said last night. Muschal, who has had frequent conflicts with Mack’s administration over obeying the letter of the law, admitted the council may have nit-picked over this contract and caused an unnecessary problem. “Well it probably is going too far,” he said.
  17. There's one that seems to be abandoned behind the former NJSP barracks on route 130 in Cranbury/East Windsor. It's been there for 2-3 years. Probably defaulted on the loan and the bank refused to come get it.
