Is there a red light camera in your town?
Red Solo Cup replied to Red Solo Cup's topic in General Discussion
What's funny is, when I was in S. Korea last year, every taxi has a GPS linked to its speedometer, and when they would exceed the speed limit, it would start beeping and flashing text in red letters. But I think the cab drivers knew there weren't any radar traps up highway 1 near the DMZ, one guy actually got the cab up to the equivalent of 100mph, it was in km/hr so I had to do the conversion in my head. I guess it was like 160 km/hr. -
Nice mailbox, the front sight is the flag.

Is there a red light camera in your town?

What amazed me about the UK was their highway engineering. Instead of a cloverleaf at each exit along the motorway, there would be a small rotary (traffic circle) on either side of an interchange connected by a bridge (overpass) over the highway, with the connecting roads feeding into the rotary on either side.. It just seemed like an insane system. Going for a drive was truly a dizzying experience from all the circles. Not to mention the major highways into London were comparable to route 4 in Teaneck. -

It's very interesting to go over to London and see the extent to which they can take the whole "camera" deal. Of course their road system is a complete mess anyway. -

I get most of my local information from the Patch: http://eastwindsor.p...ed-light-camera According to Greeley, the red light traffic program was signed into law in 2008, but did not begin until last spring. He said that there is no data at this time to highlight its success or failure. Greeley said that 19 of 25 municipalities in the state who are in the program currently have the system running. -
I wish all the people with iphones would wake up and stop giving their business to the modern industrial slave plantation masters Apple. But I know it's never gonna happen.

eBay now allows firearm parts to be sold
Red Solo Cup replied to JonF's topic in Firearm Hobby / Sport Discussion
Ebay are asshats, they'll get around to allowing guns when they need the revenue though. They've been steadily jacking fees for years. -

The business of America is business. We forget very quickly. That can be good and/or bad depending on your point of view.

The gist of the book is that the Nazis used hollerith card technology extensively to conduct censuses of their occupied countries (which led to you know what) As is typical of American corporations of the period IBM was mainly concerned with repatriating their profits. I recently read "In the Garden of Beasts" about the new US Ambassador to Germany appointed by FDR in 1933. Seems one of the major concerns that the State Dept kept hammering into him was to make sure the Germans pay on their bonds.

East Windsor got its first one this week, on route 130 at Dutch Neck Rd (by Wendys/McDonalds) monitors N/S only. Hopefully money goes to law enforcement purposes instead of the honey pot but I doubt it.

I like Hard Core Pawn in Detroit mainly because the customers are more 'interesting' vs Pawn Stars. The guy who paid them so he could come in and rub his pawned statue was fantastic. NCIS has supplanted 2 1/2 men as the show that's always on. Big Bang is awesome. Bering Sea Gold is great. Fear Factor on Chiller (FIOS ch 193) for 5 hours every Saturday night!

I agree with you 100%. All these shows are highly scripted drama. For a real laugh (if you can stand a whole hour of it) watch the Bikini Barbershop show out of Long Branch NJ on HDNet.
