  1. I know everyone is having fun with the whole crisco comparison but, it clearly states in there patent application that it is based on vegetable plant oils. I would love to see someone do a 15,000 round test with Crisco and see how that works out. I've never used a CLP that works as good as FIREclean and that's all I need to know. When it takes me just a few minutes to clean an AR after a weekend course, I'm convinced. I don't experience anything gummy or the like. The stuff is amazing when it's applied as instructed.
  2. I've used FC on all of my weapons, almost since it was released. I haven't experienced any of the negative conditions mentioned by others. I love it and like Vickers said, an eco friendly lube can only be based off of plants, so what are the odds it looks similar to vegetable oil? If it works, then who cares? John of Ballistic Radio did a 15,000 round test with a suppressed AR and had only 1 malfunction that was magazine based. If it was called Obama's Milk, I'd still buy it.
  3. I know I'm in the minority here but I love shooting my Baby Desert Eagle in SSP. Its essentially a CZ clone with 15rd magazines. Slide mounted safety/decocker makes things a little more difficult than normal but I manage. I just chamber a round with the safety on, then disengage the safety before holstering. No reason to drop a hammer.

    Glock sights

It takes like, 5 minutes to change glock sights when you have a sight pusher. I wouldn't pay any more than $20 to do it...
  5. Yes they provided a return shipping label for me to send them back so they can examine them. I gave them a bunch of info via email on all of the specifics of my rifle as well as the 2 others that tried using them that same day and experienced failures. They mostly agreed that weak springs are likely at fault as they all experienced a problem after just a couple rounds of firing.
  6. Because the springs are different in the 15/30 hexmags. You can't remove the block and have a 30rd mag.
  7. Hexmag got word of my mag failures through Instagram and reached out to me about getting it fixed. I told them about the 8 magazines I had, all FDE, that were giving me feeding problems. I just received 8 new FDE mags + 2 black and 2 OD Green to make sure it isn't a problem with the colors making a difference in the polymers. Pretty awesome customer service from them. Now I just need to test these out and see if my problem is solved.
  8. Oh for sure, the cost difference is absolutely worth it. My 2 biggest reasons for reloading are availability, and cost. When you shoot 10,000rds a year you definitely notice the difference in cost.
  9. That document did not GRANT those rights, it only secured their permanent recognition and that they couldn't be taken away from a centralized government.
  10. The right to self defense is not a GIVEN right though. It's a natural right that we are all born with.
  11. I don't find reloading to be "fun". I find it tedious and annoying. I never accepted it as another hobby like many others do. I usually put it off as long as I can
  12. This right here. It is the foundation of why we have the 2nd. Legal, illegal, extraterrestrial....all have a human right to defend their life.
  13. I guess that's a good point. I'll give them another shot since you put it that way
  14. I am aware of the warranty and I would probably take advantage of it IF there were maybe 2 or 3 mags that were bad. 7 of 8 magazines is unacceptable though. That leaves me absolutely no faith in their manufacturing process or QC. I absolutely agree with Lalo that it would just happen again. To me, it's not even worth it to chance it. I'll let them know about my experience, but I won't use their magazines until they release some kind of updated model that addresses the many poor experiences that so many other people have.
  15. I bought 8 new Hexmags a short while back during a good sale in hopes that I could add some nice 15/30's for cheap that I wouldn't mind breaking/loosing. I ran them during OB's IDPA/rifle match and had some issues with feeding. I was using a mix of pmags and hexmags for the match because I was just taking them out of the ammo can without thinking. I chalked it up to a bad day because it just wasn't consistent. Turns out that it was consistent and I had just been mixing mags. Fast forward to this passed Sunday during a Green Academy of Personal Protection Defensive Carbine course. I only used the hexmags, and had FTF with 7 of the 8 mags, 100% consistently. I would get 2-3 shots off before it would fail to strip a round. All problems stop when I switched over to pmags, and also steel mags. Go back to hexmags, and it's continues to malfunction. So, this is goodbye Hexmag.
  16. If all you've known is the Apex trigger, than going 1911 might be the only way you see a comparable/better trigger. Apex does amazing things to a bad trigger system that puts the M&P head and feet above anything else.
  17. Saving $40 is not worth any of that to me though. As a matter of fact, I drive 50 minutes to my gun shop just because I've supported them for a very long time, and they've reciprocated. I can assure you I would leave there with "extras". They're also the first store to stock my inventory, which was likely initiated because of the relationship I built with them. $40 is not worth losing a relationship, certainly not when they make up for it in other areas. In my experience, this is the case with most gun shops (some excluded).
  18. He's also offering all of the most popular mods, which is a great idea and hard to turn down when buying the gun at that price.
  19. I'm in the market for a M&P9....please point me in the direction of the $430 NEW model.
  20. Millenials..... How many gun shops only sell guns? How many sell tons of accessories, gear, cleaning supplies etc etc? I think the firearms act as more of a gateway product than a profit driver.

    Hello

I agree with Bob here. Special classes further decrease the odds of civilians obtaining ccw.
