  1. I'll bring one for you to try and let me know. But since I'm shooting NFC, you can give me all the PD you want for lack of concealment
  2. Check out Green Academy of Personal Protection aka GAPP. Cameron puts on a very informative class that gets everything done in 1 day (except for what paperwork you're responsible for handling) www.gappnj.com
  3. The Old Bridge match will also be option of shooting rifle NFC instead of pistol.
  4. Old Bridge has IDPA on 2nd Sunday They have events almost every weekend but I forget the schedule for everything else.
  5. What I mean by escaping concealment was the possibility of worn in leather rig allowing a handgun to slip out of full retention. Leather doesn't have any active retention and is more of a tension fit than a positive *click* that you often hear with kydex. It's obviously a very rare occurrence that a firearm would ever fall out of a iwb holster but, I'd like to make it ever more rare. Again, that's more preference than anything. If you really hope to see me become a multi-million dollar outfit, I'd be happy to sell you with a kydex holster

Just got this a couple days ago. Studying for my testing now.
  7. Well, I'm not claiming any sort of new advancement in holster tech. I was just saying that there are options. As far as benefits over leather, there are a few. Kydex doesn't wear out, it doesn't collapse as it gets older, and most importantly it doesn't wear the finish the on the gun because it doesn't attract and retain debris and oils the way leather does. I'm not a believer in one perfect piece of gear so I'm not at all implying that kydex is the answer for everything. My point was that there are options and that while you may feel that leather is superior in all aspects, I disagree. While you may have far longer experience in carrying a firearm, I can say that I have a more than average amount of experience when it comes to being physically active while concealing. I spend lots of time practicing combatives and bjj and testing the possibilities of a firearm escaping concealment. Those that I practice with and those that have bought gear from me (90% of my customers are out of state internet sales) that also do the same, have had no complaints about the comfortability of bare kydex and I feel the same. That's just my opinion though. It's worth about as much as any other Internet opinion.
  8. Lol I should be more specific. Yes it's a type of leather but it has a smaller footprint that isn't as smothering. It's definitely cooler and not just because I make them. I'd be happy to let anyone try my personal G19 rig and see for themselves
  9. Not when it's covered in suede Then it has a smaller footprint and smooth texture
  10. I've never cleaned or disassembled any firearm I've ever bought before taking it to the range. I open the box, insert ammo, pull the trigger many times, then go home and think about what I bought. I might clean in the next day or two.
  11. Old Bridge is probably the most active in multiple shooting disciplines. They have something going on almost every weekend and you'll always find helpful and friendly people there.
  12. What kind of holsters were you using for the other two? Leather in heat and humidity is very uncomfortable.
  13. Valid point. I've shot indoors a total of maybe 5 times. I always seem to forget that people shoot rifle indoors. To be specific I was talking about an AR. However, on a firing line with others utilizing high concussion muzzle devices, I was still okay. I know experiences will vary but that is what I experience.
  14. I shoot rifle with just my HL muffs....if that means anything
  15. Fyi, you can do in multiples of 4 and still get the same deal. I scored a bunch
  16. As Vlad said, those higher NRR are quite large. Very uncomfortable to wear while shooting rifle. Me personally, I only use Howard Leights. If that isn't enough, double up with foam plugs. I've done the molded ear plugs and they were the best with protection and sound level. They sucked when it came to hearing anything when not shooting. The Leights are more than enough for me though.
  17. I didn't get an email so obviously it wasn't fished from the forum..the moderators should not have direct access to email addresses.. hopefully there is a little clarification on this so everyone can put their eye back on the prize instead of what appears to be developing to infighting.
  18. Absolutely. Not just because I'm so familiar with it. There is an obvious texture and structural difference to the feel.
  19. I can certainly accommodate that time frame. Email me at [email protected] and we'll get the ball rolling
  20. It's that damn gun show loophole I tell ya!
  21. Christie is only showing opposition to Common Core to try and recover some popularity. He still supports PARCC.
  22. This right here. I don't understand the great debate that I'm seeing all over the Web about whether or not it should be self serve or full service, as if those are the only options. Why has this gotten SO much attention nationwide and our firearm rights don't? It's pumping gas....it's not rocket science
  23. I don't know if they are a Springfield armorer but, check with Tier 1 Defense in Mountainside.
  24. Personally, I feel like you shouldn't ever screw around with mixing powder. Nothing may come of the mix, but is it worth the $5 of powder? Hopefully you're learning that reloading is no joke and it takes full attention and organization to do it successfully without issues. The first mistake was to have a "bucket of shame". When I have a round that can be salvaged, I address it immediately so that it has zero chance of being mixed into anything else accidentally. Always consider Murphy's Law when reloading. I would absolutely wait until your 200% confident in the single stage process before going to progressive. A progressive press can be busy and easy to miss a problem if you're not solid on how everything works in each stage of reloading, and why it's done. Master the single press first and don't rush into the progressive.
