Oh, you mean wearing the sash??? If that's the case why not just leave them in uniform? Kind of defeats the purpose if they have to wear a sash in plain clothes. I worked in anti crime in Harlem. Being a white Irish American in a flannel shirt, jeans, baseball cap & work boots I wasn't to worried about being mistaken as an enemy combatant but none the less I always wore what I was supposed to so I could be more easily identified by uniformed cops.

Just bought a fort Knox 14 gun safe, it has about a foot wide of shelving going up one side as well so you can hold more depending which way it's configured when you order it. I have 8 fairly bulky rifles, some with scopes attached, in there & I probably have room for about 4 more which is fine with me. Not all gun safes are the same. They vary a lot in gauge of steel and bolts (how many, length and width) if you are concerned with someone breaking in & stealing your stuff you should go with 10 gauge steel minimum. If it's just to keep kids out you don't need that much security.

Wouldnt plainclothes guys have real badges anyway? Why would they need one of those?

They should have a state trooper there to revoke your ccw as soon as you complete the purchase of one of these. I'm pretty sure that your automatically unstable in the head if you feel the need to buy one of these.

I have to throw my .02 in. Ive purchased handguns/rifles/shotguns fom there. Never had a problem. They are a little pricy but I think that goes for every store in nj. I will say they are a lot cheaper than some (I dont want to bash anyone's business so I'll leave out names) places on here that numerous people rave about.

If you buy a hand gun over the Internet does the 30 days start from the time you buy it or from when you take possession of it from the ffl you are using?

I actually put 50 rounds through it yesterday. Very little recoil. I did jam up twice in a row. Not sure what that was about, was thinking it might be the magazine.

I bought a gun on the 25th of February. Today is the 31st day correct? I have another permit & planned on looking around and maybe buying today. It fits the time requirements doesn't it?
