  1. I have a 4lb striker spring in my gen 4 glock. It lightened the trigger pull nicely. problem is that with some ammo i tend to get light primer strikes. Im thinking of putting stock striker spring back in. Ive read about the wolf 6lb trigger spring lightening the pull of the trigger. Anyone have any experience with the heavier trigger springs? does it lighten the pull? enough to notice? any issues? thanks

  2. I recently got this 22/45. Im looking to see if any of you have this same model with a sight on it. I have the stock rail on top. I tried another halo sight on it. Only way it would fit was with the sight too far forward for my liking. Im looking to use the stock rail, not remove rear sight, and have the sight mount to the rear of the rail. Wondering if any of you out there have any suggestions on a sight. pics of yours? Also, Im not looking to spend a fortune. the cheaper the better. thanks

  3. definitely get a 1911. i wasnt a fan of sig. i sold my sig after two months. some people love them but i dont see what all of the hype is about. Ive shot many of them and dont understand it. for the money a sig will cost you can get a much nicer 1911

  4. If you are using the mag release on the left side (normal for right handed shooting) you can use gen 3 for sure. Earlier may work too.If you have turned the mag release around for left handed shooting you will need gen 4 mags.Sent from my SCH-I800 using Tapatalk 2

    thank you very much

  5. Ask for the forms to apply for pistol permits, tell them you already have your FID. The forms and paperwork are the same. If your address hasnt changed and its the same barracks you applied to for your original FID then you shouldnt have to get re fingerprinted.

State police are running about 3-8 months for permits turnaround time, so you have awhile to figure out what you want.

yes you do need to bring the permit once you get it, with you when you purchase the handgun.

3-8 months??? you need to move to a new town! Longest ive ever waited was 2 months

  6. I agree. 9mm is my limit as a primary carry gun as well - I do have a LCP that is related to BUG or 3UG under certain circumstances.

I have two pistols that are not Glocks. One is a the aforementioned LCP the other is a Kahr PM9. It works well in its intended role in my CCW routine as it will pass the "concealed" test in certain situations where the G27/G23 will not.

I carry two 7 round mags as reloads for my PM9 and use them when qualifying. I have never had any reliability issues when using them instead of the flush fit 6 round mags. In fact the only issue I have ever had my my Kahr was when the plastic mag catch gave up the ghost during a practice session. I replaced it with a new metal version and haven't had a problem since.

While I will occasionally carry a smaller gun as a primary carry peice (G27 or PM9 as mentioned above) 90% of the time I carry a G23/22/35 when CCW - I am mandated to carry a G22 at work. I am demonstrably and measureably faster AND more accurate with full size guns as I spend the majority of my training and practice time on them. I am also of the opinion that if I ever need to skin a blaster and go to work I would prefer to have every reasonable advantage in speed and accuracy at my disposal.

I have said it before and I am saying it again: Why design a gun around a smaller cartridge first and then try to jam the larger round into the smaller frame as they did with the 17/22? Granted, .40 S&W was not around when the 17 was first created, but they saw how that worked out with unsupported chambers, KBs, WML issues, ejection problems, etc.... I just don't understand why they would set themselves up for those kinds of issues again.

why not? it makes them tons of money. if they had stuck with just the 17, glock wouldnt be so popular.

  7. Matt Mclearn 1911 single stack race gun. I think this is my best shooting 1911 that I have in the collection right now. Ion deposition metal finish. The green has grown on me.

That thing looks too nice to even shoot! Id feel terrible getting it dirty haha

  8. I like the paddle release better. I dont have to rotate the gun in my hand like i do with a standard push button. i use my right index finger to drop the mag instead of thumb. My ppq m1 is one of my favorite pistols that i have ever shot! the only down side i see to it is the high bore axis. It does get  a little more muzzle rise than some other comparable guns. Since mine is only a 9mm it's not so bad. I notice it does rise a bit more than my g19. I would bet that one chambered in .40 would definetly be snappier than say the glock 23. I would say the ppq wins in all other areas. Super comfortable and probably one of if not the best triggers that comes on ANY polymer pistol.

  9. Let start this by saying why the hell isn't it a 9mm?

I handled one at a LGS and I fell in love at first GLOCK. But I am not a glock fan because of its trigger safety and my hand size. The g42 was perfect in my hand and I was really interested on buying one. I just couldn't see myself stocking up on another caliber and I'm already in love with the 9mm caliber.

I just don't see any reason why glock would just release a 380 and not even say if they are making a 9mm.

Only reason I see why they released a 380 is to attract females to carry? (Ruffle some feathers yet?)

The g42 would have left with me and would have been my first glock, but damn glock company had to release it in 380.

Ok that's enough of my venting, I need a drink

i would give it time. Im sure they will make a 9mm version. They already made the .45 slim.

I also think they probably already have it designed. they probably space the release dates out so they arent competeing with one another. People that are buying the 380 now will im sure go and buy the 9mm when it is released.

  10. Thinking about something like this with a blue label G34 and Burris Fastfire 2 (slickguns) and rear dovetail mount.  Poor man's equivalent to RMR'd milled slide...
