I agree on the AR platform but I already have a bushmaster Xm15.

I am torn between 2 guns. I have been looking at sks's for a while and would really like one but recently i found a howa 1500 in 308 for a great price. So now what do i do? I already own a 243 and 300 wsm bolt guns but have always wanted to add a 308. So decision time because i dont know how long that price will last on howa.

One thing to remember, these aren't laws only local ordinances. So you are only imposed fines for them. Though i would never charge someone with it if they were lawfully protecting their life.

Sorry misread your intentions. I agree with you on mag restrictions. They are simply stupid in there intended purpose. If someone wants to do a mass shooting, they will bring enough to reload and continue to shoot, whether the mag can hold 5 or 50 rounds.

Why?? Because you expect all LE to know he hundreds of laws in NJ then know the laws across the entire country???

Didn't see this posted yet so here goes. The Brady Campaign has ranked every state in reference to their state gun laws. The lower the number the state has the less gun laws they have. I.E. a state like Utah has a 0 for points which is great while NJ has 72!!! And we rank #2 in the country. I had a LCP which was one of my off duty guns. I ended up selling it because while it was a great concealable little gun but it was tough to shoot at longer ranges i.e. more than 7 yards and I didn't like the trigger pull. So I went back to my old time favorite Glock 27 which I have used for 10 years now. not really a pocket gun but I am now looking at the Kahr pm9, cm9 or Berreta Nano. Just saw the shield and I think it has an external safety which I am not allowed to have per department regs. Though if I am wrong on that I am sure someone will correct me asap.

Like I said forgive me but I have always wanted a FN FAL which I know is illegal by name. But is there something similar in style to one that legal in this Criminals have more rights than I do state?? Or should I just go with a Ruger scout rifle?

Danno I actually believe the law is 15 feet ABOVE the high water mark is PUBLIC and anyone can have access.

yeah I guess so. If I was smart enough to bring my shotgun in and sell it I would have been more inclined to just spend the money and get one. But I left it in the trunk because I didn't see anyone else walking in with their own stuff to sell. Guess I could always try here.

Well I got back a few hours ago empty handed. I was looking at a few SKS's which was what I really wanted but I felt for what they were the prices were way too high. All in the $380-400 range. I even saw a Norinco without a bayo for 389. Which in my mind is about 100 too much. I brought a shotgun that I was going to sell but ended up leaving it in the trunk. Guess I shoulda brought it in just to get rid of it. Anyone else go and have better luck??

Wow horrible idea. condsidering a typical utility pole without transformers costs a minimum of $50,000 to replace. Like it was said before I would rather pay the insurance. Plus in NJ if you get caught without insurance and an officer writes you a ticket its an automatic 6 month license suspension.

Much cheaper option is to look for an Acorn collector, same thing but about $30 cheaper.
