Thanks! I have that pin out but am having a hard time getting it all to go back in and sit correctly. I will look at it again this weekend when I have some time. Appreciate the response!

That seems correct. Just not sure how to put it back. Don't want to damage anything trying to put it back.

I'm not comfortable doing all that. Can anyone suggest a gun smith in my area? I might as well have what ever needs replacing replaced and cleaned. This was my first gun when I turned 21 its got thousands and thousands of rounds through it with zero issues. My favorite piece by far. Thanks all

This is a different gun than what I have. I will look into it to see if they are similar in build. The SW99 videos seems to be few in number as I was looking into it last night. Thanks Sorry, as for the picture it kept saying my upload was too big so I kept resizing it to get it to go and I guess its now really small lol

    S&W SW99 Issue

Hey all, I think I got a bit too aggressive when using the brush on the lower while cleaning and unseated the small spring that engages the slide release. I'm not sure how it goes back in and don't want to force it as it seems parts for these things are few and far between. The circled part should be under the slide release arm to give it tension and I'm not sure how to get it back under there. Anyone familiar with this firearm? If not, can anyone recommend a gun smith in the North Jersey area (Wayne, Caldwell, etc) Thanks all.
  13. Im in North Jersey, but I meant 8hrs to where I go in NC.
  14. My intention was to find a place in VA to spend the night and do something with the family but after seeing what the Gaylord had to offer I couldn't pass it up. My twins are going to love the ice slides and sculptures and all the activities they have going on.
  15. Thanks for the info. I am just going to leave them home this time since I'm stopping in MD. I always drive straight through as it's only about an 8 hour drive so it's never been a concern I lock them up appropriately and go on my way. Since I'm stopping this time not worth the headache of trying to bring them. My cousin who lives there has guns so I'll just use his.
  16. I always double lock them when I travel. Not worth taking the chance in my opinion.
  17. Yeah, thats the way I interpreted FOPA and the MD laws when I looked them up as well. So no guns this trip. O well. Merry Christmas all!
  18. Yeah, thats exactly why we are going. Yeah I've stayed at the one in Orlando a few times and that was awesome so I could imagine this one is too.
  19. They have a BIG Christmas event so I booked it for my kids and it's on our way to our destination. Kinda already knew that I wasn't going to take the guns but just wanted to see if anyone had personal experience with MD. Guess I'll just have to shoot my cousins guns while we are there.
  20. Hey All, Merry Christmas! Question... I am going to NC this week coming up, however I will be stopping at a hotel in MD overnight (The Gayloard National Harbor). I always take some of my guns with me as we do a lot of shooting when we are in NC. I have my FL CCW and know MD doesn't recognize it. So my question is, can I stop overnight in MD with my firearms (I double lock them, bore locked inside of a locked case with ammo in a separate locked container)? I go to NC a lot but have never stopped overnight, I always drive straight there. I want to take them with me so we can go shoot but I'm thinking its not the best idea with the stop overnight in a state that doesn't recognize my permits. Thoughts? SW99.
  21. I agree, I have been going at 8am for open on either Saturdays or Sundays and even though Im like the first person through the door at 8am on a Sunday the staff has been nothing short of top notch!
  22. I try to buy PMC for all my guns when its on sale. I have NEVER had a problem with it in any of the handguns or the AR. The ammo when I purchased one time was x2 as it paid $30 for .40cal which is a bit excessive. That would really be my ONLY slight complaint about GFH, everything else has been absolutely great.
  23. HB, Thats sucks, especially the fact that you had to loose the $100. I love to drive so for me personally I don't mind it. Heading down to FL I'm assuming?
  24. Was there sunday morning on the 25yrd, as usual everyone was awesome! Might head back this weekend just not sure if saturday or sunday morning.
  25. Going tomorrow morning for like 8 am couldn't make it this morning.
