I want to go with the Midwest 2 piece free float which would have me cut the delta ring off. How can I find out what size I need? Obviously I could measure my handguards now but that would only give me the length to the delta ring not all the way to the receiver

I see the ones you're picking our are 9" instead of the 7" standard carbine version. Are the 9" ones the ones you need to get the rail to meet with the rail on the receiver? I want the flat top of the receiver even with the handguard then the handguard meet the front sight without removing it

Is it possible to remove the break off the barrel and then reinstall it after I replace the handguards?

My muzzle break isn't much wider than the barrel itself. Obviously if I chop the front sight I'd need a flip up iron sight for the hand guard rail. Does anyone actually have any of these hand guards that can give a review on quality fit and solidness?

I really like the Midwest ones. Anyone have them? I don't want to drop $200 on HGs that wiggle

I have the bushmaster xm15-e2s m4a3 style rifle. It is nj compliant so the muzzle break is welded on (doesn't look like it has and weld). My current handguards that came with the rifle wiggle along With the delta ring. I want to use a free float style so it is completely solid but in order to install it I know the front sight would need to come off which would also force the muzzle break to be removed. How can I go about changing my hand guards to something solid with no movement. Is it possible my muzzle break isn't welded or pinned? I don't want to take a wrench to it and mess up the finish if it is welded

I'm looking for a tactical bag/case for my bushmaster AR. I have a red dot sight mounted on top of the carry handle. It measures about 12" in height. I see most bags are between 11-12" high but does anyone have any experience with a bag with a larger height?

thanks for the replies...not worth the trouble, im pursuing a career in law enforcement and this is not worth the risk of blemishing my background. he can wait a few months and get it himself!
