  1. In anticipation of the impending Zombie Apocalypse I just bought a Jeep JKUS that should get me and my family from point a to point b. Question though, will I be able to get gas when I need it during the Zombie Apocalypse or will it be rationed on odd our even days? Rich
  2. No, that would be quite a drive for me but when I lived in NYC I lived one block from a Liverpool bar where I spent many Saturday mornings. I know the European players carry on like actresses but of all the sports I have played, soccer is the most brutal. I have been knocked out, had my nose broken and my right ankle destroyed playing soccer. Those guys are tougher than they look. Rich
  3. You'll never walk alone...Liverpool fan here too. Rich
  4. Chris is great and can order what he doesn't stock. It's a new shop but it seems like he is developing a good client base which will likely drive his inventory. Rich
  5. What a great experience this must have been. She looks like she is having so much fun. The thought of my wife taking my daughter shooting is so foreign to me that it's beyond the realm of possibilities. I'm lucky that I get to go - LOL. Rich
  6. Not Monmouth County but close, try Bullseye Tactical Supply in Woodbridge. It's worth the drive from the Red Bank area. Rich
  7. Why is a lake a must? I'm going to second the Cape May idea and suggest the Virginia Hotel which provides access to the beach as well as the pools at Congress Hall. The restaurant is amazing too (Ebbitt Room). For something different, may I recommend The Bartlett House in Greenport, NY? Great b&b, short distance to Long Island wineries, near nice restaurants in town and short ferry ride to Shelter Island where you can rent bikes. Rich
  8. I love my FNP-45 USG model. It has everything you need but night sights which are an option, just not one I chose. It points great, shoots like a dream, breaks down easily, fully ambi, came with 3 magazines which are perfect for NJ (two 14 and one 15), two backstraps...It's on the bigger side which is fine for HD and range trips. Crappy image, sorry about that but FNP is on the left. You can see the difference in size compared to the M&P midsize 45.
  9. IPW, reach is measured from fingertip on one hand to fingertip on the other. 27" cannot be right. Rich
  10. I agree with that but it sounds like you could fall victim to an overzealous leo that doesn't know FOPA or doesn't care. FOPA is an affirmative defense as stated above but not one I would like to have to raise. Stay under radar is best advice with FOPA as your ace in the hole. Rich
  11. Well this is crazy. I was thinking about a trip up to Sig in NH. Avoiding NY would be a chore. Rich
  12. What's the issue with NY and handguns assuming the magazines were only 10 round capacity? Rich

    My new Handgun

Ok, thanks for that. More research to do...

    My new Handgun

Congrats, I just picked up the M&P 45 and like it but the trigger is meh. So much take up that my finger winds up too close to my hand and in a weird position. NJdiverTony, I have started looking into the Apex DCAEK and would like your thoughts. Obviously, you like it, did you install yourself or use a gunsmith? Did the break of the trigger move up?
  15. Shot my new m&p 45 yesterday and didn't like the trigger. I hear there are upgrades and I will be investigating my options. However, the fnp 45 was sweet as ever, love that gun. Rich
