  1. I ditched cable about a year ago and it was pretty liberating! I now use just a Roku3 to stream Netflix and Amazon Prime as well as Sling TV off and on. I also installed an antenna in my attic which picks up about 40 channels from Philly and to me the HD channels like CBS bad FOX look better than anything the cable company was providing. I only use the antenna on 1 tv. I did some poking around on antennaweb.org to see what kind of channels I could get with an antenna and to figure out what range antenna to buy. For me, a Clearstream 4 antenna did the trick. I was planning to buy it from antennasdirect.com but saw it at BJ's for a few bucks less. The only downsides I bump up against are sometimes the weather has an impact on the over the air channels, I miss the DVR but don't care enough to do anything about it, and I'm dependant on the Internet connection to remain stable. I'm not a big sports fan but tuning into games is limited with my arrangement. Check your ISP to see about limits with how much you can download.
  2. I have a LG 45 pint stand alone for 6 years with no issues. Has a hose connection to attach hose to for draining. It's pretty quiet too. It's real similar in looks and specs to the LD451EGL but is an older model. Since I don't have a drain near by, I've been carrying the bucket around to drain it almost daily with this humidity. Does anyone think a small condensate pump would work like the one you'd see on a high efficiency furnace/AC unit? I was thinking that I could run a drain hose from the dehumidifier into pump and then pump it outside through a small 1/2 inch hose like on my furnace. These pumps seem to have a float in them to turn them on and off when the water gets at a high level.
  3. Hey everyone. I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this or if I'm turning into somewhat of a wuss as I age? For my Glock 17 Gen 4, the three 10 round magazines that it came with are near impossible to get more than 4-5 rounds loaded into them by hand. Using the magazine loading gadget, i can fill it up but it gets tough after 8 rounds. I've probably put around 300 rounds through a couple of the mags. Anyone else encounter this? Are the standard capacity mags any different? I'm trying to find out if this is normal or if the mags came with too heavy of a spring in them or something like that. Is it worthwhile to contact Glock about this? Any thoughts or advise is appreciated. Also, anyone know of a reliable source for 15 round pinned magazines for this gun? I saw 2 of them hanging on the wall at RTSP about a month ago but when I got out of the range, they were gone. Thanks!
  4. I been driving to the Carolina's to see family for a while now and just avoid 95 altogether. You can go through PA on 78, grab 81, and then hop on 77 which will take you through Charlotte N. Carolina and though Columbia, S. Carolina. Since my family lives away from the coast, this makes sense for me and I'm real close to PA to begin with so for me this is my go to route.
  5. That's good news and glad to see it that it didn't go some other way.
  6. Gillette Fusion for the face daily and then the same to buff up the dome a few times a week. I never used a brush and just smear shaving cream on my face with my hand but if there's something to it, I'll take a crack at a brush??? This brush thing has sparked my curiosity! Is there any real value or benefit to using a brush?
  7. Got the exact same response from Christie today. He makes me sick.... He's turning out to be just another typical NJ politician. My reply got bounced back too.

7 days here, got the call this past Saturday... my last purchase, about a year ago, took about 10 minutes at the shop... ah, the good old days.
  9. To say that this guy is clueless is an understatement. What a joke!
  10. Like everyone else, I've been keeping a close eye on the anti-gun hysteria at the federal and state level but while we were busy with that, a local council member was making some noise and attempted to have the town council endorse a resolution that supports tougher gun control laws. Thankfully, all other members of the council (except one) did not want to have anything to do with this resolution and voted against moving on it. http://www.lehighvalleylive.com/hunterdon-county/express-times/index.ssf/2013/02/flemington_councilman_backs_re.html http://www.nj.com/hunterdon-county-democrat/index.ssf/2013/02/tonights_flemington_council_me.html Obviously, we also need to be mindful of what our local elected officials are up to and I didn't realize that at a bunch of municipalities in the state signed on to that mayors against guns coalition...
  11. Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else but I tried to search with no results.... Anyone have any hands on experience or opinion on the Advantage Arms 22LR conversion kit for a Gen4 Glock G17? Build quality, reliability, last round hold open? I like the idea of being able to shoot something cheap given what's going on with ammo pricing and availability. Here's a link to the kit: http://www.advantagearms.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=AASOS&Category_Code=GLK Thanks!
  12. It's an awesome gun isn't it! I've got about 750 rounds through mine with no issues at all. No complaints here!
  13. Sorry if I came off like a tool but I'm definitely on board by doing whatever I can to fight for our rights including signing petitions. After re-reading my last post, I think I was just overly frustrated, given what's been going on. Keeping tabs on everything that's been happening over the past month and trying to defend gun-ownership has been tiring but I'm 100% in the trenches! In any case, I've been signing anything that I've come across and wrote a ton of letters, emails, and made calls. I've been getting some responses to the emails that I sent but it's all mainly generic type stuff... nothing in response to anything I actually wrote about.
