  1. Where can I get a 1911 .45 Springfield full size slide from?

    Any websites please list.

    Thanks

Did you try calling Springfield. If there was a problem with the old slide they supposedly have lifetime warrenty on their work .

  2. Having the second session is a great idea, since like Nick stated it would have taken forever for everyone to get through a single session. Black Powder ended around 3:30-ish and I still heard Steel finishing-up! Having the second session means those that don't have two guns to shoot or can't hang around all day can leave early or not show-up until they're really needed. It also affords members the opportunity of doing more than one discipline on the same day--just like I did with Shotgun and Black Powder today.

One of the things that Dave Z. is able to do well is think on his feet. That's why he's the Discipline Chairman for 3rd Sunday Steel. Hope you all had loads of fun and made it home in time to celebrate Father's Day.

Steel was done and broken by down by 3. I think the 10 of us did all six stages in about an hour. I like it but if you start to get alot of guys coming for that second shoot it will go till 4:00 or later and it is just going to be a long day

  3. When I shop and have a gun handed to me, I make sure its safe physically and visually before I go an further, even if the sales man had just done it. I have been handed guns at a shop where they didn't even check that its safe. Second thing I do is locate an area that can be considered safe to shoulder or point the weapon, then ask to sry fire. Now.... I go shopping a lot, I like to kick tires but once a month I make a purchase...I see a lot of people taking a potentialy dangerous weapon, and lasering everyone. I have said something before, Hell on time a guy came in from off the range with a stove pipe lasered everyone in the place with a loaded gun. I hit the deck and the sales man made jokes about it. Anyway, I think before a salesman hands a gun over they should.just ask politely " do you have any questions concerning the safe operation of this weapon" it couldn't hurt and help keep stupid.incidents to a minimum

How did the RO miss a guy walking out of the range with an uncased gun. Just another reason i joined a private club.

  4. Sorry about the misinformation. I believe they USED TO allow 50 cal. with board permission.

They did at some point but stopped because the part I pasted was found under rules

  5. Cj doesnt allow 50's anymore. It says inn the range rules no permission will be given for 50 cal.

CENTERFIRE .50 CALIBER RIFLE Use Badge

    1. NO SUCH PERMITS WILL BE ISSUED FOR CENTERFIRE .50 CALIBER RIFLES(black power rifles and pistols are permitted without a special use badge). The firing of any centerfire .50 caliber rifle IS NOT PERMITTED.

I copied and pasted that from the website

  6. anyone going to range 14 on Saturday, since this is very different from an indoor range I would like some guidance, for instance I never used flags before? I plan to go with my stepson thats in the army visiting from Texas. last time he was here we went to bullet hole and had a blaIst. I plan to take all the toys so we should have fun...

David of your son is in the army have him see if they will give you the military discount. I think they do it for spouses but if they do it cuts the annual fee down to 30 dollars u do not belive it does anything for the per hour fee but hey 30 bucks is a couple of extra bOxes if ammo depending on caliber

  7. I am goinng to try and make this match as there is nothing going on at CJ that i want to shoot this weekend. I wil probably just shoot .22 Pistol iron sights. I do have 2 questions .22 is started from low ready right no penalty for no holster. Also is it still 20 dollars for each division if I have a Steel Challenge card. hope to see you guys there

  8. Went to Lancaster this weekend. On the way home today decided to make a detour to cabelas OMG guns on racks you can just grab and see how they feel. Ammo not in cages just sitting on the shelf to be grabbed and bought instead of being treated like a criminal and having my ammo locked in a plastic box. Hello heaven. :)

  9. Hey I am looking for suggestions on a mid priced 9 mm. I know most if you are going to say glock

And I am not against glocks just want to know if there are any other choices.

P.s. if anyone looking to sell something used give me a holler. Also not looking for compact want something I can shoot in uspsa and have fun with at the range
