What happens to my guns if I die?

Maybe I should have phrased it "if I die before her"? LOL! -
FID & PP Card Township Paperwork Requirements
colnar replied to Tom-NJ2AS's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
I believe the detectives are the ones who actually call the references and look at the background checks. In Lindenwold, it was about 3-4 weeks before I got mine after the detectives got their hands on my paperwork. -

It is just my wife and I. We don't have any kids, and at our age, they are not likely to be any as well. Thanks for all the great input. -
Lead time under Ideal Conditions for a CCW
colnar replied to Wojo's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
Even with the letter from the bank, the judge may still find you do not have a "justifiable need" or may limit when you can actually carry, i.e. only during work hours. I have not talked with anyone other than LEOs who have been able to obtain a CCW permit, so I am not really sure of the time frame. I have a nasty felling it would go to the same group who does FIDs and would take just as long, but that it just my opinion. I hope someone else here would have better information for you. I wish you the best of luck with both the job and the CCW. Please keep us updated. -
Not me, two hours is too long of a drive. I wish we had more 2A functions that were closer to my neck of the woods. Seems like all the most interesting events are all over an hour away.

Great news!

I bought it out of stock on-hand.

It was actually due to recommendations from people on this site, including you Sandy, that I went with the M&P series. Thanks everyone. While we were waiting on the paperwork to get finished, my wife spotted the Model60 Pro and decided that would be her first HG once she gets her FID and P2Ps.

What happens to my guns if I die?
colnar replied to colnar's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
It was actually my wife who asked. I was just trying to be a good husband and allay her fears. We had actually been discussing her parents health earlier in the day and I think that may have put her in that frame of mind. I am just so happy to have finally picked up the gun and I can't wait to get to the range. -
What happens to my guns if I die?

This may be a dumb question, but how does she become my legal heir? My will? p.s. She already know how to handle them and will be signing up for her FID and P2Ps on Wednesday. -
As I stated in an earlier post, I just purchased a new MP9 from AnA today. As I was admiring my new purchase on the couch after we arrived home, my wife asked me a very good question. What happens to my guns, God forbid, if I die? Do they automatically becomes hers? Does she have to take them to the LGS and have them transferred to her? Does she have to sell them? Do I need to do anything proactively to make sure they becomes hers, i.e. a will? If anyone has any facts on this I would be very thankful for any help. BillM.

I just got back from Arms and Ammo and picked up an M&P 9. Paul was very helpful and I will definitely be shopping there in the future. The mags are stock 17 round that have been permanently pinned to 15. I can't wait till Monday so I can take it out to the range.
-
I am interested as well.
-
I have never seen a 15 round mag for 10/22. I am not sure they exist.

The phone carriers want you to believe they only last 2 years. Notice how all the contracts are set up for 2 years. So every two years you but a new phone with a new 2 year contract. Guarantees revenue for the carrier.

iPhones are good phones, I just don't like the fact that none of them are 4G yet.
-
I would go with the droid over the iPhone. The droid is 4G and the iPhone is not. I have Verizon and as soon as I get a few bucks, I am getting the droid Maxx.

I'd be in for a movie nite, just not this movie. Not a fan of Cohen.

yup.
