I think everything you wrote was well reasoned and to the point. The issue really comes down to the fact that politicians would never read anything that long. They have trouble understanding what you write when it is only a few sentences. Their would never finish anything that long. Sorry bout that.

Got a call from LPD today. My permits are ready and I went and collected them. Weird thing though, I had to get photographed for their records. Never had this before, though it has been a few years since my FID. Is this common?

I am currently unemployed and am having problems finding work at a pay level where I can make ends meet. I can't get food stamps because I "make too much". Yet the people living near me who don't want to work are buying all kinds of expensive food and paying cash for what is not covered, yet I can barely buy the necessary groceries (Bread, milk, et al). Really pissed me off.

Actually each agency is not allowed to add requirements. If they do, you call NJSP and they straighten them out.

I just received a response from a price request saying these are not NJ legal guns because they are 19 round capacity. I thought they were 17 (according to S&W site). Can't the mags be made NJ legal?

Talked to them today. Was told the chief will be signing them next week. Will call again on Tues or Weds if I do not hear back from them.

I have been looking at the SW mp series HG and was thinking of getting one. How do you tell the difference between the standard and the Pro series? I have looked on thier site and the listings in the Pro series don't say Pro on them for the M&P. Thanks.

Called today and talked with the detective. She said she has completed the background check and it is now going to the admin dept for processing and I should call back in 1-2 weeks to be safe. However, I head her discussing this with the admin clerk who said it the Chief usually signs them the same day she gets them on her desk. Hmmmm.... I will call back on Tues to see where it is.

UPDATE: I was told by the detective that they weren't able to call one of my references. They already have their letters back from the references, but now they want to call them and speak to them in person. Should be a few mores days hopefully. We shall see.
