  1. Thanks for the good word on it! I've been eyeing the ppq since last week, when Keithco told me about it.
  2. Might be taking the nephews there, will let you all know how it is if I go.
  3. Held one the other day at Easton, felt too small for my hands, and I have SMALL hands... Safety switch was tiny too.
  4. Keithco, I'll take you up on that offer, i sent you pm about it... And thanks for the help guys, I'll keep you all informed as to what I get!
  5. That PPQ looks sweet! Thanks for throwing something else into the mix! J/k Thanks for all the info guys, I appreciate the opinions a lot!
  6. I agree about the DA pull being very smooth. What I'm wondering is, did it take some getting used to, do you even notice the pull now?
  7. I went to Heritage Guild in Easton yesterday to rent a couple of guns, I'm trying to decide between a Glock 19 Gen4 and a Beretta PX4 Compact. I walked in wanting to test out the PX4 only, but decided to try out the Glock too. With both I shot in the 9 ring at 5yds. (50 shots each) It was my first time shooting since 11 years ago. I LOVED the single action trigger on the Beretta, but didn't like the DA first pull, it was very long, and I kept finding myself trying to time it, almost squinting. My shots weren't too bad though even on the first shot. The Glock was great all around, I prefer the Glock, but shot a little better with the PX4. Beretta: (rental was full size, not compact) + Good SA trigger + Mag release + Price - Resale value - DA trigger long and heavy - Not used to safety/decocker Glock 19 Gen4: + I liked the trigger + Good all around feel + Reliability and Resale value - Price - No safety I like both Guns, especially the Glock, but shot better with the Beretta in SA mode. Does it make a difference that the PX4 was a fullsize? The compact is .5" shorter. I need advice, any advice! Thanks a lot in advance guys!
  8. Wait until next december, prices will be low again.
  9. Thanks Bob for doing this on behalf of MOST of us!
  10. Was that for the Upper + Lower? If so that's an awesome price!
  11. If anybody comes across a used one I would love to hear about it! Got my ppp and looking to use it!
  12. You guys are going to make me BROKE! Sweet pics, I like that 90 two. I haven't seen the px4 compact 9mm, although I handled a px4 .45 and it fit like a glove!
  13. Sweet!! Thanks for the input guys. Just got my permit, so I'll be looking for a used one soon
  14. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on a Beretta 92 as a first handgun. I'm shooting for fun, so want to keep it at 9mm so its fairly cheaper ammo. Good place to find used? I'm in Piscataway Haven't shot in 9 years, so I'm rusty!
  15. 1. Application type (FID/permit w/ existing FID). New FID w/ 2 pp 2. Police Department where you applied. Piscataway PD 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD. 4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit. 57 Days 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form). 2 reference letters from friends 6. Notes - anything pertaining to the application process (unforeseen difficulties, chief of police calling your home, you hiring an attorney, etc.) Det. and PD were very polite and professional.
  16. I think I'm going to stick with the one from centerfire, it's a good looking rifle! Will post pics after I get it. You guys are more than welcome to take out for a spin too! Just show me a few pointers on it as I'm new to the ak platform :-) Just need to get the funds ready!
  17. Welcome! I'm new myself to here. I lived ten years in parsippany, off s beverwyck.
  18. Nice! I like that Waffen works. Anybody know of any locally for sale? I've handled various 47's but never a 74. If I did get one what does it cost to get the brake fixed on? Do you guys see the 5.45 round being available years from now? And thanks for all the quick replies, I appreciate it a lot!
  19. Hi all, Looking for a decent 74 (5.45) clone. I am torn between whether to get a Saiga and convert it or get a 'Polish Tantal' from gbroker for about $500? The Saiga is 450 + conversion parts. I could do the labor myself. My main concern is which one would be better, from what I read Saiga has a great reputation. Can't find much about the Tantals on here. But the Tantal would save me some bucks and it's pretty much what I want, wood etc. I don't want to get suck with a piece of junk though! ANY advice would be appreciated!
  20. Thanks for the warm welcoming! I'm hoping to learn a lot here and having fun!
  21. Hi all, haven't shot in the longest time, still awaiting my p2p and FID, any day now!
