  1. When I did an address change, I had to go to the local PD and go thru the paperwork (references, but no finger printing) again. I can't recall if they actually sent out references for a simple address change, but I definitely had to fill it in.
  2. Really regret selling my old Vbob... It was so sweet
  3. Sounds interesting. Let us know how she shoots when it's finished
  4. My 12.5 is running on a carbine gas system, most likely for reliability.
  5. from my own limited experience, the longer the gas system or barrel, the recoil impulse gets softer - granted you're comparing with the same muzzle device. to be honest, the difference is not that great... it's just a 223/556 at the end of the day. if you were comparing .308 or larger, then I think the differences could be felt more especially with varying muzzle devices
  6. damn. someones got some explaining to do
  7. Well for full rail, there's the Midwest industries drop in and also the Troy MRF. Can't remember which one needed the triangle cap to be snipped off, but they're both solid. Just on the heavy side
  8. I also agree that Peter Luger's fell off... Last time I went I really regretted paying so much cash for a meal. Forgot to mention that Mastros (Orange county) is also really tasty
  9. The Keg in Toronto had the best prime rib I've ever had. Locally the wife and I like to hit up Cliffs steakhouse in Englewood cliffs. Great Ribeyes and filets while decently priced with amazing sides Gotta try out Steve's sizzling steaks on 17... Always pass by it wondering how good it is
  10. How does the feed ramp look? Is it nicely machined and blended to the receiver? There seem to be several threads on other forums for similar issues feeding past 3 rounds.
  11. Ah okay thanks for the clarification guys. For those that have one in 10.5, how's the muzzle blast?Wondering if maybe a linear comp would be a good idea.
  12. I'm eyeing the 10.5 version as well... Looks sweet! Question... Why did you have the FH pinned? Thought it was OK to leave it threaded
  13. Damn that sucks. Sgammo was always my go-to for cases....
  14. BJJ + yoga is fantastic for older individuals with joint/flexibility issues. Building core strength and increasing flexibility is life changing as age progresses
  15. Nice to see several taekwondo practitioners. I've practiced, competed, and taught most of my younger life and also dabbled a lot in Muay Thai. Having hand to hand experience absolutely changes your perception of social situations and can be a huge confidence booster. Learning in a full contact setting also gives you a nice edge if you're ever in a position to use it. After a bad back injury, which ironically wasn't training related, I had to give up the lifestyle for a while, but the intuition you gain is always there. In hindsight, I wish I had focused on Muay Thai over all else as a kid. It's much more effective on the street compared to other traditional martial arts.
  16. In my experience, shipping leadtimes can vary but they're a great vendor overall.
  17. That's what I'm wondering too. Sounds made up
  18. Nice! Let us know how it is. I'm so tempted as well
