    Ruger Mini 14 in 223

Do you still have the mini-14? If so, how satisfied are you with it and where did you buy it at such a low price?? I really want one of these.
  2. Got a response from PSA that the summer sale will be ending this Sunday. FYI
  3. I have to say, Jen has very quickly made this right for me. You are absolutely correct. <-- Now a very happy customer
  4. I'm just getting shipment confirmation on my third order this afternoon. It's taken roughly 2 weeks just to process each one. My range bag has gotten mighty heavy with all this blazer brass lol.
  5. This was less than a month ago.
  6. Yea, the hammer was already cocked back when I felt the resistance. I was really looking forward to playing around with the R1, but that kind of turned me off from wanting one at that point. I mean the piece was brand spankin new right out of the case. The RIA officers model felt 10x smoother IMO and about $200 cheaper so I might go for that considering the many positive reviews here on the forum.
  7. Bringing this thread back from the dead... I had a chance to play around with the R1 and felt a strange resistance when pulling back the slide. Almost as if a piece in the slide and part of the frame were scraping against each other when the slide is almost fully pulled back. Is this normal for any of you guys and would it cause any issues down the line? I compared the R1 to a Kimber that was beside it and the Kimber didn't have anything like that at all. Pretty interested in a getting a 1911 as my next handgun so I'd like to hear any of your opinions if anyone can chime in on this.
  8. They are good people. I've never seen or heard any of the RO's get in anyones face except for when some kid was rapid firing an AR15 and when this idiot behind the barrier pulled out his sig and started playing around with it. Even till then, the RO just snatched it from his hands and calmly said he can't do that. Good thing the RO reacted so quickly because I saw a few shooters in front of the idiot about to awol seeing a pistol out of the port. I've also never waited more than 15 minutes even when it was packed on a saturday afternoon.

    New Gun

    Congrats on the G23!
  10. I would've gone to his store too.. until I looked up directions on google maps and just kind of stared at the screen for a while. He seems like a great guy, and was always the first person to respond to any of my price quote requests on the forum. Definitely on top of his game. Congrats on the gen4 19 - the new grips are amazing IMO. I love my gen4 23.
  11. well come to think of it I think the holdup was the lack of FID/license copy on my end. the delay in shipping didn't really bother me since I don't have any time to hit the range anyways. did any of you guys get contacted by PSA to provide FID & drivers license? they let me know I needed to submit it at the 2 week mark. kinda sh*tty customer service if you ask me, but I can't argue with the price.
  12. So sneaky.... Kinda growing impatient that my first order has taken over 2 weeks to ship out as well which means my most recent order won't get here for another 3 weeks to a month. They must be crazy backed up with the promotion.
  13. I've met some of the friendliest people at the range. Within the past 3 weeks alone I've shot 4 different (very expensive) AR15's and a handful of handguns. One guy was nice enough that he handed me about 20 rds of his 5.56 after catching me drooling over his AR setup lol. So while I enjoyed shooting his rifle, he was in my port firing away with my brand new Gen4 glock 23. I can't remember but I'm sure I handed him at least a magazine or two of my ammo. Others I've met in neighboring ports have almost always offered me a few shots after a quick hello and usually swap ports for a few minutes. In terms of offering money, this has never happened since it's always been a swap. ^ This should be an option in the poll above. Pay it forward, definitely.
  14. Glock 23 Gen4 with 180gr Winchester Ranger T
  15. This shop would be within 10 minutes of me. I hope they open up soon and have good pricing...
  16. I don't understand. I spent over 600 at bullet hole a few weeks ago for a new pistol and when I asked about free range time I was basically laughed at. How on earth were you able to get even the 15-30 minutes? <--- not a very happy bullet hole customer.
  17. ^ This. I was under the impression this free-shipping sale would be all summer but it's ending REAL SOON. Just ordered about 300 rds but I don't think it's nearly enough at those prices for blazer brass in .40 --> $13.49/box
  18. I've been going to bullet hole pretty frequently over the last few weeks and I have to say I've been having nothing but good experiences. Never saw the floor without an RO either. In my experience as of late, he's been pretty observant of things going on in the shooting area. I haven't been to many ranges but I can't complain about this place at all.
  19. Thanks again Jim. Great price for the ammo!
  20. welcome to the forum. glad to see another member from bergen
  21. Welcome to the forum Tom. The FID/p2p process should take roughly 2 months on average in this area. I live in palisades park and it took a little over a month and a half. But it could be longer as i know some of my friends have waited closer to 6 months (Paramus and cliffside park). My local PD seems to be very supportive of the process but I can't say the same for fort lee. Good luck.
  22. Hey guys just like the title says I'm looking for a glock 23 (gen3 or gen4) if anyone would like to sell me theirs. thanks
  23. I'll take it. Please PM me with your info. I'm pretty close to Clifton too
