  1. I am looking for 10 round Beretta 92Fs mags. I can get OEM for about $30 or The Mec-Gar for $23. How do the Mec-Gar compare to OEM mags? Are there any other quality brand options I should consider? (I do not consider Promag to be a quality option) Also if someone can tell me why Steyr AUG 30 and 42 round mags are available for $30 and AUG 10 round mags are $45? It is not a recent gouging issue. They have been priced like that for years. I can’t think of another OEM mag that has pricing like that for the full vs reduced capacity mags. Pisses me off now that I have to purchase them.... 2. I remember someone made a double 10round mag. It was two 10 rounders made as if connected butt to butt. So it was as long as a 20+ round mag. Looked cool and I think a better solution then these side couplers. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  3. Maybe look into Piano movers.... similar skill set and tools required. I used a piano mover and they had all kinds of gadgets to do the job with just two guys... Most piano stores either have or can refer you to a piano moving crew. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  4. A nice old lade came and sat at my kitchen table and explained the rules. Basically how to enter info into you books. No big deal and no inspection was done.
  5. This my collection. I travel a bit for business. Idaho, washington just required a stopin to the police HQ. Nevada and texas required training class in state. The rest are mail order. The only one i did not get was Michigan. It requires taking training in state as well. South Carolina is available if you own property there.
  6. Troy makes a Pump Action AR. I’m think of an assisted action AR that stores the recoil/gas energy and then release it with just the slightest motion and cycles the weapon.. Even goes so far as to create a new action type. A “Button Action”. After firing the non tripper hand presses a button to allow the rifle to cycle. The goal is to avoid having the rifle classified as a semi auto yet be able to cycle almost as fast by pressing a button/second trigger to cycle. Has this ever been tried? Would it be an effective alternative to semi-auto and all the restrictions associated with semi-auto rifles?
  7. That info goes into your file and if they ever get a call for service to your home depending on the nature of the call they will adjust their tactics accordingly. The less they know the better... there will never be a scenario where you will be thinking if I had only informed the police of my firearms I’d be better off... it only goes the other way... 8. Question for FFL’s ??? Back in October my FFL ( G&S Hunters) told me he checked with NJSP and the rifle could be transferred to me without having to do any compliance work and that he had already transfer several to other customers.. ( the 30round magazine did need to be blocked to 15rds) The Steyr AUG is banned by name. This is an STG77 not an AUG so no issue there. However, I thought for sure the Flash Hider would need to be replaced with a Muzzle Break and permanently attached. According to his conversation with the NJSP the gun does not have a pistol grip so it is allowed to keep the Tulip Flash Hider as an allowed evil feature. The removable plastic stock does say AUG/SA however the actual receiver only says STG77. So no worries... I’d like to know from the other FFL’s on this site if they concur and can transfer the STG77 to me?? I have a little extra Xmas money and may be able to make a purchase now. 9. No it does not... I’m pretty sure it means nothing.... I almost wish i never had the conversation with him.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  10. My FFL ( G&S Hunters) has been transferring the new Steyr STG 77 without any compliance work required. I previously posted that neither the new “Steyr STG 77 “ or the older “Steyr USR” models are banned by name as part of the NJ AWB on the “Steyr AUG”. However, supposedly the NJ State Police have confirmed for my FFL the D Shaped Pistol Guard does not constitute a Pistol Grip. They have advised and he has Transfer several STG 77’s with the standard Flash Hidder muzzle device as the included evil feature ( not the Pistol Grip.) I was very surprised to hear my FFL’s Position on this ( The STG 77 does not have a Pistol Grip)!!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Thats them.. were you selling them? Were they factory 15 rounds? Looks like the bottom flares out a little bit to hold the base plate on. So perhaps they were not cut. But those are my exact mags..
  12. No .. it is a an old 20rd pmag cut down to hold 15 rounds not blocked. So it looks more like a 10round but is slightly longer... perfect for bench shooting at the range..
  13. Looking for straight up 15 round AR mags. Not 15/20's or 15/30's. A few years back somebody was selling cut down PMAG's I purchased 6 at the time and they all look and function perfect. The only ones i can find now are Thermold mags at sportsmansguide but im looking for a better quality. Pmag, hexmag, lancer, ect This is a pic of the cut down Pmag. Who was selling these?
  14. I am a life member currently.. can i upgrade to endowment patriot? Why would i want to? Are there other benefits i would get
  15. Seriously, could they get any cheaper? Why are companies making polymer lowers still. I saw complete rifle kits last month for $299 minus receiver... you can literally get a brand new AR for $328. Plus shipping/NICS. 15rd hex mags are $10 at sportsmans guide. Ammo is the lowest price i have seen in 10+ years... http://www.primaryarms.com/anderson-manufacturing-ar-15-stripped-lower-receiver-ar-15-a3
  16. Amazon Prime items ship 2nd day or next day for free...
  17. Close up of the difference between the stock magazine release and the Corvus Defensio Enhanced Magazine release. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  18. Today I added to Corvus Defensio enhanced mag release and the kydex stock protector in in FDE that is being sold on eBay. The FDE does not match Burnt bronz but it was the closest I could get... I may just use a small piece of Velcro once I see where the cases impact. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  19. Yes, it is a unique color for sure... FYI - GSG Coatings quality is great but the estimate was off by $75, The 10 day turn around was actually 20+ requiring several calls to get them started and some of the components were reinstalled incorrectly ( I was charged for gun smithing reassemble time) I would only use them again for simple jobs that I was not in a hurry to get back. 20. Yes, I got a Ratworx Hybrid LH bolt... uses AR-15 extractor/spring. If I am shooting with a mixed group of LH /RH shooter I will use the USR stock with RH bolt and the Corvus Defensio Shell deflector( it is attached in the picture) .. not perfect for LH shooters but I can get thru an afternoon? 21. I just finished the conversion of my Steyr USR into its AUG format.. i had GSG Coating do the Cerekote "Burnt Bronze". I am going to keep the original USR stock and grip in case i want to put it back in the original USR configuration for resale. I am going to use the original 20" USR Barrel along with the new 16"... Half the fun of an AUG is being able to switch barrels on the fly.
  22. No, same trigger pack as current AUG... but there are a few 3rd party solutions to improve it... 20/20 sear, Nue trigger, Trigger Tammer, etc.. They turn the stock AUG trigger into an OK for a bullpup trigger. Geissele is working on an AUG trigger pack that uses AR-15 trigger guts. Similar to the now discontinued 20/20 HTM trigger pack. It had a very nice 4.5lbs pull. The 2020 HTM trigger is on the bottom.. Note the AR-15 hammer.. Geissele is making something like this. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  23. The Steyr STG77 will be shipping in a few days. Street Prices are $2299. SAS Tacticle can modify the Flash Hidder into a muzzle break. The $83 I quoted above was to make a custom copy of the Tulip FH as a muzzle break. He only charged me $15 plus shipping to modify my existing FH. Cerakoted finished break shown below. I can't swing the $$ right now to get a second AUG.. I almost wish I had waited to get this one.. Is anyone planning on getting the STG77 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
