  1. All gone..... Damn. A .308 VEPR for $499..... no wonder they sold out so fast.
  2. You want a budget .308? Get a Savage Axis and put a new trigger in it.
  3. Yep. Great scope for the cash. And like NJPilot said, the tripod SUX!
  4. Did the lines w. a fine brush. I didn't love the first try, so I figured some diagonal lines would help break it up. So I sprayed some FDE Kahki in a cup and used a brush to paint the diagonal lines.
  5. Walmart has Krylon Matte Clear. I just bought a can a few days ago at the one in Readington.
  6. Thin surface rust, yes. Deep pitting, no. To the OP, if it is just surface rust, naval jelly or the like will take care of it.
  7. Nice! I have two Savage .17 HMRs. They are absolute lasers out to 100 yards. No need to upgrade the triggers as someone mentioned above. For field and fun the Accutrigger is awesome. Unless you are going to seriously accurize the guns for benchrest, spending money on a new trigger is a waste.
  8. This! You used to be able to shoot pretty much anything within reason (no glass, applicances, liberals, etc). But they are stricter now because of the asshats that shot practically anything and left it lying there.
  9. It's still in stock because it's Golden Bullet....
  10. DPMS or Armalite style? Both. I was always under the impression the DPMS style and the AR10 mags were different.... Guess I was wrong.
  11. Another false victory for Moms Demand Attention.
  12. These polls don't matter. The idiots who vote D can't read.
  13. Careful w. those PTAC uppers. There have been reports of spotty quality.
  14. Gus, maybe you are new to internet forums, so I will cut you some slack. Here's a hint worth what you paid for it: It's usually not the best idea to act like a douche in your first few posts.
  15. I have the Medieval on my latest build. Yeah, it barks a bit, but it does the job (covers the threads) at a nice price.
  16. Konus has a decent line up of spotting scopes. They are a big step up from Barska, BSA, etc. http://www.amazon.com/Konus-7120-20x-60x80mm-Spotting-Tripod/dp/B001DX7Q8W I have one and it has served me well. The tripod is not the best. A small photographer's tripod would be a good upgrade. If I were a dedicated high-power shooter, I'd upgrade. But it works great for sighting in at 100 yards. And it's decent at 200.
  17. You can have it sent to an NJ FFL to do the compliance work. There are many here that can do it for you.
  18. I've read reports of spotty quality on the PTAC stuff. Hopefully they got it straightened out.
