  1. Anyone have thoughts on the 500 persuader? I found one semi locally for 450 plus normal taxes and fees. Worth the coin or pass? This will be mine first SG I'm cross dominate with a stronger right hand but left eye dominant. Do I need a left handled version or will a mounted optic help solve the problem?
  2. I'm not an agent nor in the insurance business, but in both cases that I required HOI, the agent asked as a representative of the carrier if we had pets. At that point when we said,"dog" the underwriters followed up with questions in the breed, age, sex and whether or not we bought the dog and puppy or from a rescue. In both cases it was explained to us, that given the breed and the imagine the breed has, it was in our best interest to disclose as much as bout her as possible. We provide dog school cert, advanced obedience certs, and even a short video of her playing with 18 month old son. FMI, State Farm and one other, I forget who, were the only ones who would underwrite us.
  3. From a coverage point of you, you should disclose the type of dog you have. Materially omitting could give the carrier the right to deny coverage in the event of a claim.
  4. Try FMI, Franklin mutual insurance. They wrote me when we had our rottie
  5. The scary part is its sold out! Which means some ass hat bought at that price...
  6. + 1 for Chimney Rock if u live in the Bridgewater area. If you're further west, try Natales in Annandale. Small mom and pop shop, great service and a good sized pie that's one of the best in the area. We stumbled across them one night about 2 yrs ago. They were just about to close and we were just getting home from vacation. My oldest wanted pizza and since he has food allergies we can't trust the big stores. Not only did they fire up the oven again but the owners son made us some zepoles while we waited. Can't beat that for service
  7. That was amazing.... I made the mistake of showing my 6 yr old and now he wants drums...haha
  8. I was there yesterday, inventory was okay. Definitely not what it use to be, but better than other places I've seen. Prices were on par with some online places once you factor in shipping and transfer fees. 9mm ammo is pricey at roughly 16/box and .22lr was 8/box of cci mini mags. As for becoming a member, I agree it's a decent program. 250 bucks gets you unlimited range time (in 1 hr blocks of time) for the year. It also gets you bumped to the front of the range time wait line. So far the longest I've had to wait was 25 minutes when the standard wait time was 2 hrs...
  9. Nice looking build. Since I'm building my own AR. Ill be following this for some helpful tips and hints
  10. It's s lee loadmaster...and thank you for the idea. I'll be swinging by lowes this weekend!!
  11. Pizza Bob, Thank you for the response. I will be mounting it to the bench top and sitting on stool. The stool is roughly 30 inches tall.
  12. Ah okay, I thought it had something to do with the zinc plating...
  13. Hello all - I recently picked up a Lee progressive loader of midway and now I need to set up my bench. I'll be building the bench from lumber so I'm not sure if there is a specific or prefer height the bench needs to be. I'm 5'8" tall and have about 9 foot ceiling ins in my basement. Any help is appreciated!!
  14. Sorry, I'll probably get flamed for this comment, but I can't help think we are contributing to the mess on the ammo prices. I know people love the sport/hobby, but us as enthusiasts we need to stop paying the ridiculous prices. If we continue to pay the high prices, the demand will not ease up and many of us will eventually get frustrated to the point of potentially walking away. While I think it's great to help a fellow shooter by posting up a "deal" all it does is create another mini frenzy. I know people need to have 1000's of rounds in each caliber at all times, but maybe for a few weeks/months ease up on the buying? Sorry but I think all we are doing is hurting ourselves with paying the crazy prices....
  15. What about the Remington 887 nitro tactical? What's everyone's thought on that shotty?
  16. Everyone has given u great advise...and being a dad of 3, all under the age of 9, all I can is be prepared to spend a ton of cash. We were just there in early September and counting airfare our total cost was well over 5k and we didn't pay for hotels (timeshare). Aside from the cost one thing you need to be aware of is the height and/or weight restrictions for the rides. Having a 5 yr old girl could present an issue with that part. Most rides were 40 or 42 in minimums. My little just barely made it with sneakers on. As for doing the parks, I say split the days in half. Chill by the pool in the AM and hit the park around dinner time. You should miss most of the crowds and still enjoy the parks. Then switch the next day, park in the am, pool in the night. We found this to be the best blend of downtime and park time.
  17. Yikes...20 to ship 18 bucks worth of powder plus a 27 hazmat? Dang... Anyone in hunterdon county, near Clinton want to do a group by to split/lower fees

  20. Yep, this is exactly what I was talking about. I know it's not safe or proper cabinet but I was wondering if the lock is keyed or a simple latch. Looks like its time for an email... Thanks
