  1. Has anyone ever seen or used one of their products? I'm looking at the "locking" one for our bedroom so I could keep the shotty and hg at quicker access. any thoughts would be appreciated.
  2. Congrats!! and you are right, your daughter will melt your heart instantly. I know mine does...
  3. Bridgewater doing ok. No to little rain, temps are steady at roughly 40. Snow expected for over night
  4. Wouldn't we have the opportunity to work with a 'smith to pin/limit existing mags? I know that may make them impossible to clean, thus disposable, but it would be better than turning in a firearm...
  5. As far as I can see the only benefit of getting the classic .22 and then the 9mm slide conversion is cost savings and getting two .22 mags with the classic. The down side, is finding a .22 classic in stock or needing to pay for a transfer fee which eat into the savings. When I was in your shoes last year, I decided on getting the 9mm and .22 conversion.
  6. Not as far as I can tell. I went to cabelas within a minute of seeing the post in slick guns. Went to go pay for 2 packs and recieved an error message saying can not ship restricted item to nj...
  7. Well the stock price is still $10/ share below the IPO so they still suck for me...
  8. I have no problem presenting my FID and DL to fondle a firearm, but needing to show my permit?, Really? as for the Ammo, I was there and it was on the shelf and from previous posts about it being priced fairly I asked for some. Never again will I shop there.
  9. Has anyone ever had that asked before you were allowed to handle a firearm? I went to sportsman's Rendezvous in Flemington today and they would not let me handle a 1911 since I did not have my permit with me. When I asked why this was the case, the counter person said, "cause I don't know you". I offered my FID and license to verify my identity and he responded sharply with "no permit, I'm not showing the weapon". I promptly thanked him for his time and then went to the ammo counter. Once there I asked for one package of .22LR mini mags and 2 boxes of the American Eagle 9mm. They rang up at just under 61 bucks with tax!?!? When I asked for the prices I was told 23 for the 9mm and 10.99 for the .22! I again said thank you, but declined to finished the transaction citing their prices were very high compared to just last week when I bought 2 other boxes of 9mm at 12.99. Overall it was a crappy experience and cemented that I will not be going back there. Anyone else have this happen?you you
  10. Thanks you. I'll check out remsport now nd will follow up with PMs
  11. I just passed my last day of OGAM so I'm looking to use up my last permit. I already have a 9mm and .45 ACP so I'm thinking of adding a .40. While surfing the net I came across Fusion firearms and the thought of potentially building a kit has me intrigued. I especially like the 1911 style and the ability to have it chambered in .40. What's everyone's opinion on them and how difficult would it be to build a kit with basic home tools? My budget is roughly 750 but can add in a few bucks if need be. So let me hear your thoughts on their customer service, overall gun quality and accuracy. Thanks Gabe
  12. +1 on Sigs. I love mine and toying with picking up a 1911 Nightmare. And where are you going to be located?
  13. I'm guessing 4-5 inches ine Clinton area. Winds are gusty here and there but overall pretty mellow storm for us. No power issues
  14. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic, but here is my S&W pro series...
  15. How was it? Anything left? Let me know about going next week. I can meet there on Friday if that works for ya. Maybe shoot a little at heritage...
  16. Dicks in Easton was basically down to a few boxes of 44 mag and 357. Plenty of shotgun shells, but a limit of 3 boxes per customer. I looked a rummy 870 express and they wanted 525 for it. Not sure if that is a good pricey, but it seemed high to me
  17. Crap, I have a work deal in the afternoon. Any chance of you going next week?
  18. Side question, but do people always use the same references for each round of permits?
  19. You wan the firework place? If so, thanks for the tip. What site did you buy your equipment from?
  20. I wasn't aware of the limits on mag purchases but I know heritage is limiting ammo purchases to one box of 9mm per day
  21. Hello everyone, Like most of us, the cost of buying factory ammo is getting too much to handle so I've decided to take the plunge into reloading. I understand that finding components is already difficult, but I'm willing to ride out the panic and buy items as the become available. First order of business, finding a local place (live near Clinton nj) that carries presses, dies and components. Can someone please recommend a place that is a easy on the newbs and fairly priced? If you're willing to spend time teaching I would happily pay for some range time in Easton. Thanks
