  1. Well, you guys better hurry and stock up if you're using a trust. You never know.... http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/12/foghorn/submit-your-paperwork-now-atf-ruling-on-trusts-for-nfa-transfers-still-due-january-2016/
  2. I think it is a cool toy, but the velocity will make you wonder if it's a good 'defense gun'. http://www.sadefensejournal.com/wp/?p=1093 I load Hornady 55gr FMJ over IMR 4895 @ 25gr with CCI SRP and shoot it out of a 8.5" 1:7 5.56 barrel these are the results. Using a suppressor make a slight difference in velocity ~5fps or so.. So if you're inside a house when a round goes off without ear pro, you will not be a happy camper. High: 2256, Low: 2143, Avg: 2207, Extreme Spread: 113, Std Dev: 45 The same load out of a 16" 1:7 5.56 get me this. High: 2830, Low: 2737, Avg: 2780, Extreme Spread: 93, Std Dev: 33 Using 5.56 will probably get you better velocity, but I forgot to bring the ammo to try. I think Form1 takes about 4 months now, I just put another one in a few weeks ago also. I believe you can mate any upper to a SBR lower, so why not just put 5.56/.223?
  3. Sounds like a great idea!!! who do I make the check out to?
  4. I own a VP9 LE, PPQ M2 and M&P9c with aluminum Apex trigger and action enhancement kit. In my opinion, the Apex had the best trigger pull and reset. It better be, because its an additional $160! The PPQ has a nicer stock trigger than the VP9. But, I like the grip on the VP9 better than PPQ and M&P9c. And my VP9 shoots 5-6" to the left at 25 yds from factory. I just bought a sight-pusher to fix the issue. Knowing then what I know now, not sure if I would buy the VP9 again. Just my two cents.
  5. There is a new website called, LearnVest.com .... maybe give that a shot, its free to sign up and just plug numbers to see where you stand right now and there are a lot of resources on that site and everywhere else. I'm sort of a investment/number nut, so if you want a spreadsheet that takes current age, retirement age, investments up to now, expected annual return, annual payment/distribution, # of payments and all this indexed to inflation what you will have in today's dollars in the future just shoot me a PM. I'm also a fan of ROTH as well for the same reason Vlad stated, we don't know what the taxes will be in 20 years.
  6. Sometimes they do small amount just to test the water to verify the # is active.
  7. I was playing with it when during the Knob Creek event earlier this year, its nice but not $140 nice. If I remember correctly, at that time they wanted $90 or something.
  8. I just bought one... BIG MISTAKE.... should have bought FIVE!!!!
  9. I already have plans, but I might go if it falls through. Maybe we can pickup some NFA items for $250 a pop?! LOL
  10. Freedom of choice should be respected.... I would have done the same...
  11. Steve from Monmouth Arms has one on his wall, I was there yesterday.
  12. Thanks fellas... just closed on the house so looking to move after I make the 2 years at my primary residence so they dont' hit me over the head with taxes. I'm looking to join either www.rcwanc.com or www.cr-pc.org when I get down there.
  13. We were just in Charlotte 3 weeks ago and put in an offer on a house in the Highland Creek community and closing end of this month. We worked with an Exclusive Buyers Agent who was extremely knowledgeable with Charlotte, saw 200+ houses online and about 20 houses a day while we were there. Let me know if you want the contact info, she make everything REAL EASY.
