  1. Please don't say that, he's the reason why we're here today...the man invented the internet!!
  2. I apologize if this is a repost... Not sure how old the video is but I would like to know how many guns she owns and what guns they are!
  3. Hmmm very interesting...was not aware of that, thank you. So they can hire actors to portray the patients but they are not allowed to let the patients come out and say it...interesting society we live in!
  4. The best proof that these drugs don't even work is that you don't see any commercials with people saying that "drug X cured me" or "drug Y helped get through my problem and now i'm better". What always stands out to me in those commercials are how many times you hear "if you experience any thoughts of suicide...", I think by that time your mind is a little too far beyond normal to consider calling your doctor. It really is embarrassing that this is part of our culture and it all revolves around money but the worst part of the whole thing is that the drug companies keep pumping those drugs out and they don't feel bad about any of the individuals who suffered. These are human beings.
  5. I agree, this isn't about all police officers not honoring the protect and serve motto, regardless of their official job description, this is about the fact that this guy almost gets killed protecting himself and others, and two individuals who are looking for the attacker not actually capturing their intended target immediately and keeping someone form being hurt any further. If someone breaks into my house, yes I will have my wife on the phone immediately calling the cops. But you can be sure that I will be in front of her aiming at the bedroom door waiting for someone to come through.
  6. Changes have been happening to football over there years, this is nothing new...think about how many former players have sued the league because they weren't warned about the possibilities of long term effects from several concussions they suffered in their careers...think about how it started out with a leather helmet and now we have these very high tech helmets with different face masks...think about rule changes over the years like prohibiting the head to head collisions... It's nothing new that the league wants to make these changes to protect the players (and to protect themselves from getting sued) because it is a contact sport and there are dangers involved. The President sees those dangers and that's what he's talking about. Maybe yes he has some sort of agenda on children's safety in sports or he's trying to tug at the hearts of parents, either way, he's not making things up, he's stating that there are dangers in the sport and that if he had a son he might not like the idea of his son playing football. I think reading more into it is kind of crazy...
  7. So i did a little searching for the video, the link posted didn't take me anywhere...isn't it weird that one of the parents of a child killed in Newtown comes out and speaks and MAKES SENSE and the video can't be found anywhere? How about the fact that the little blurb in the article with his name doesn't mention everything he said which contrasted what other parents were saying?? If anyone finds a link to the video please post it because I want to watch this. Nevermind, here it is...sorry http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqpzOSYqX3c
  8. It just goes to show that the image people in this area conjure up when talking about people with guns isn't a law abiding citizen or even a hunter, it's either a lunatic or a criminal...that whole brain-washing scheme by the ATF seems to have worked in the metropolitan areas!
  9. I don't agree with the fact that, if this is true, he probably used our money to pay for it. I don't agree with a lot of what he promotes and does. I don't agree with a lot in politics actually. But I also don't agree with him being criticized for getting his whistle wet and that being grounds for him to be thrown out of office. I think that what he does in his personal life is just that, personal. Is he a scumbag in politics? Yes. Is he a scumbag in his personal life? Probably, but that has nothing to do with his professional life.
  10. Fantastic letter which represents, I would guess, most views many of us here have. Someone else on another thread sent a letter to an editor of their local paper. Would you do something like that?
  11. I think the point he is making is that being prepared is a good thing. If not for those fire drills, if a fire, as much as it is unlikely to happen, were to happen, the kids are prepared. If someone breaks into your house, as much as it is unlikely to happen (depending on where you live I guess), you can be prepared.
  12. Did everyone forget that women "lay" an egg every month unless the egg gets fertilized?
  13. Yup, after I watched that whole interview I continued watching others taht were gun related and whenever someone brings up facts, he just ignores it or goes back to his whole "why does anyone need a military style weapon??" One thing I don't get is why hasn't anyone brought up the fact that it only LOOKS like a military style weapon but it doesn't operate like one??
  14. Great point! Let me ask you guys this, where do you go for reliable news? Or at least not so one-sided news?
