Would a riveted 15/30 mag be legal
Car Ramrod replied to mx597turbo's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
I have two 30 round AR mags pinned to 15, bought them from my FFL so I would imagine they are legal since I would doubt they would risk their license over $30. I do keep the receipts with my rifle just in case, hopefully that is enough... I ordered some 10 round PMAGs to replace them though. The 30s are asthetically pleasing, but not really functional due to their length. -
Just picked up the XDM 9mm 5.25" Bi-Tone at RTSP, came to $872 out the door. They pinned all three mags to 13 rounds, not sure why 13 instead of 15. Great gun, very accurate.

Buying Ammo at Dicks???
Car Ramrod replied to JayWilling's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
Ramsey's on Route 10 doesn't check anything for rifle or shotgun ammo, they just hand the boxes to you and thats it. No escort to door or locked tupperware... -

NJ FID/PP Compliancy Project
Car Ramrod replied to Maksim's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
I bet you it is 6 months. When I handed in the paperwork the lady told me that the references are typically the biggest holdup. My refs got their forms that Monday and sent them back out next day so I got optimistic that it would be quick. Ridiculous. They should have an express option like they do with passports. I would pay extra for it. -
NJ FID/PP Compliancy Project
Car Ramrod replied to Maksim's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
The lady who took my paperwork in Parsippany was very pleasant, but I think she's severly misinformed as to her time estimates... I submitted my paperwork for FID (Address Change) and 2 permits on May 25th. I was told it would take 6-8 weeks for processing. I called at 6 weeks and they said they had gotten everything back and it just needed to be reviewed, told me it would be 2-3 more weeks which i was understanding of since it still pretty much fell in their original time estimate. Called back at 3 weeks, was told it would take an additional 3 weeks... Called back again 3 weeks later and was told the same thing... I am at 14 weeks now. I saw in a earlier post that someone had hired an attorney after waiting a long time for their FID, will that really help or would I just be wasting money? Do the towns really have a limit of 30 days to process an application?
