im confused as to why this even has to go in front of a judge? I mean wasnt Caetano Vs Massachusetts more than enough to say the law is clearly illegal here, the Supreme Court was pretty clear in saying tasers are protected by the second amendment and that specific case even revolved around carrying one im no lawyer but i wouldve thought that the day Caetano Vs Massachusetts came out is the day NJ ban on possession is thrown out the window, is a ruiling by the supreme court not enough anymore or is this just a jersey thing?

im lost, didnt a judge just rule that dc law was constitutional? and now this judge is basically ruling the opposite way for the same law, so which judge has authority? who does dc have to listen to? cant they just listen to the Clinton appointed judge who ruled that the law was fine?

im more worried about taxes raising in NJ when Christie is gone, gun rights is lost in this state, i gave up when every other republican gave up and couldnt be bothered to get off their a** to go to the polls and vote and gave the democrats one of the largest wins in NJ history

the mass supreme court said she was able to carry a firearm for self defense, the concurrence knocked that down basically saying forcing her to use lethal force is absurd

this and remember she was convicted of carrying a stun gun concealed outside of her home, the supreme court just said not in so many words that the 2nd amendment protects outside carry

trying to get sympathy is all, most people including the judge in control of sentencing doesnt understand that a gun with a 12 pound trigger just cant go off, we all know he fired intentionally but most on the jury wont, maybe they should pass an empty gun around with a 12 pound trigger and have all the jurors squeeze it, maybe then they will understand that the shot was intentional

this would be my next step also, the ecm uses the crank-sensor to determine which cylinder is misfiring, if its a dead miss or multiple misses it can be very inaccurate, ive seen cars with a dead mis throwing code p0301 indicating a cylinder 1 misfire but in reality its cylinder 3 misfiring, when it comes down to it the computer is really just taking a educated guess in which cylinder is missing next if you have diagnosed that its actually cylinder 5 i would check timing, and also perform a cylinder leak down test, just because you have good compression doesn't mean the cylinder is completely sealed, if all those check out you might want to take a look at the ecm last, this is the most unlikely but still a probable cause

were most likely not going to have another 2A case go before the supreme court again, they're done with it and i believe its the majority of the court saying that anything other than an outright ban in the home is fair game when the scotus wont even enforce its own precedent that there is bad news, they just gave the lower courts the authority to gut heller and mcdonald and find any regulation constitutional just by playing around with some words this just further proves the courts are just as political as any other part of the government the only hope we have is the federal government which is not really any hope at all, get out while you can and enjoy free America before the cancer spreads

we know of a person who empties ATM machines and has received death threats and was almost robbed, more than once we also know someone who was kidnapped, beaten and taken across state lines, and the state fought as hard as they could to not give him a license until they were forced to no offense but there really is no such thing as justifiable need in NJ, the judge will just tell you to move, hire security or call the police everytime you are in danger the only hope you have for getting a permit is your political connections

this is just the beginning, soon one dui will be more than sufficient to decline you on being a drunk, then they will find a way to track how often you go to the liquor store, oh wait they already do, when they scan you license and if you got to often you're a drunk and you're denied then they'll go after major traffic offenses, like multiple speeding tickets or careless driving tickets and deny you on that, then they'll move up to minor traffic violations, hell maybe they'll even add school records into the check to deny you if you got into too many fights as a middle schooler this state is hopeless, the only hope we have to freedom is to move, the courts are just going to get more creative each time to disqualify as many people as possible, then carrying will be the least of our worries because only 1% of us will even be able to legally own a gun, and that gun will be a fingerprint reading .22 with a maximum capacity of 5 rounds

Palmer remains a split at this point, also peruta was a very accurate thought out ruling by a judge who is very respected, when the en banc reverses O’Scannlains well thought out ruling its defiantly going to raise some eyebrows in scotus about the dog and pony show the 9th is pulling, also i thought scotus is famous for reversing 9th decisions, that is when they agree to hear them lets also not forget that its thought scotus turned down Drake because the NJ supreme court agreed to hear a similar case but miraculously changed their minds when scotus denied certiorari in Drake, that was like a big middle finger to scotus which im sure they are not happy about, they held Drake for a few weeks so there is definitely high interest in hearing a carry case, i truly believe they want Clement in front of them though for such a delicate case

correct me if im wrong but i believe this has a strong chance of being reviewed by scotus regardless of the en banc decision, mainly because Paul Clement is a leading attorney for the defendants, and we all know Paul is someone scotus views highly of, a petition from him in my opinion has a better chance of getting granted than a petition from Gura, which could easily explain why scotus turned down drake, scotus saw peruta moving its way up to them and in the end decided they wanted Clement to argue the case

if an officer asked me where i was going i would say, "thats irrelevant to why you pulled me over, if you feel the need to give me a ticket please do so so that i can be on my way" and after that the only other words that would come out of my mouth are "am i being detained or am i free to go" if youre going to the range keep your mouth shut, take the ticket and be on your way, officers in NJ are told to arrest first and let the courts sort it out, if you tell him you have a gun in your trunk and your going to the range i can almost guarantee youll get arrested, your car will get searched and impounded, and youll never see that gun and any others you might have had in the car again
