  1. Dont know if anyone else saw this. I was channel surfing and when AMC was coming back from a commercial break during the showing of Mad Max, they put up a warning for viewers. " Due to recent events, some viewers may find this presentation offensive or disturbing, blah, blah, blah". Guess its their right to put up a warning but come on, really? Can we look forward to warnings on Bugs and Daffy cartoons soon?
  2. You know what, you must be right. I guess anything you don't agree with is asinine. Change your name to thinskin if everything bothers you so much. And if the Star Ledger gets to print their list, guess your neighbors will know you're the guy...anyway Out
  3. I don't quite understand the thinking here. Are we for protecting the 2 nd amendment or not? I question it every time I read how we should all be doing everything possible to protect our "RIGHTS" as Americans. Call and write your reps, senators, the president, but don't let anyone know you are doing it? What the hell are we hiding for? I have NRA stickers on my car and front door. If I were employed, and had the resources, I'd put a shite load more stickers or magnets to show my support. I want to be able to say I know my "RIGHTS" are secure. If you aren't willing to show how passionate you are, then get the hell out of the way. If you aren't part of the solution, you must be part of the problem. Well done Matty and Johnp
  4. I have an STR stock on my AR. It's pinned at the 2nd position. If it were at the first position, my nose would be touching the charging handle like you say you wanted.
  5. This is from a post started by Josh H on Dec 17 titled "pro gun petition" We ask President Obama to support law abiding gun owners in this time of tragedy. We ask President Obama to stand with law abiding gun owners in this time of tragedy. Guns laws could not have prevented Adam Lanza from killing 27 innocents. The real question is what made this disturbed young man into a murderer of children. Where is the outrage at the violent video games he played? A piece of plastic and steel doesn't have a will Mr. President. Evil is not law abiding, and Adam Lanza stole those guns after failing to buy one legally. it is America's law abiding gun owners who would have died with Victoria Soto and Dawn Hochsprung defending the children with only our bodies on December 14th, because it was already illegal to bring a gun into that school. Please don't pander to the politics Mr. President. A feeding frenzy of new gun legislation is not the answer. Created: Dec 16, 2012 Issues: Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement, Family, Firearms TOTAL SIGNATURES 57,670 If you look at the response on that petition ,it says "A Message from President Obama about Your Petition on Reducing Gun Violence "
  6. I got the same email. Didn't the petition have something more to do about the 2nd amendment and not renewing or passing any additional bans? I can't seem to find the petition on the web site or am I wrong? That petition topic line sounds like a petition to ban guns and end gun violence all rolled into one.
  7. I have an individual policy since I'm unemployed. It's through Horizon BCBSNJ. It covers prescription medication and generally hospital. There are limitations to the policy regarding %'s of payment. A friend of mine just found out the same policy does or cover cancer treatment, so you need to be careful. The cost for an individual is about $480/mo. A lot of money but like Ray said, you need it or suffer losing everything you have to pay hospital bills. I am looking for a better policy also, but haven't found anything that covers as much for the price. You can also go on Ehealthinsurance.com and get quotes or look at individual plans. Good luck. If you come across anything more affordable, be sure to let me know.
  8. Hey Boom, I wasn't trying to insinuate anything. I was just pointing you to where the front page was. There is no need for you to apologize for anything. Was just trying to help since you couldn't find it.
  9. If all you want to do is see the front page, just google Burlington county times. One of the search results says "front page". Another case of the media spewing nonsense
  10. I'll check my inventory and get back to you. You should have invested in a 69 or 70. They carry their value in the muscle car market. ( yes, sarcasm still on )
  11. For every issue in life, there may be circumstances which dictate what you are capable of doing. Do you have any idea what my personal circumstances may be? Didn't think so. Whether its financial, educational, health, age or any combination, they can play a role in what you are capable of doing. With your vast knowledge of ways to make money, "including some things people are not always willing to do", and apparently knowing what everybody's personal circumstances are, try understanding this. I, and anyone else on this site or any other site, do not owe any explanation of our personal circumstances to anyone. My original statement was intended to agree with another poster and others who are struggling to find jobs, in spite of their circumstances, which are THEIR issues, not yours. There are other ways to make money, I understand that. Then again, how do you know I don't sell stolen car parts to make ends meet? (sarcasm)
  12. I fully agree with you. Not everyone abuses the system. I have worked continuously for over 40 years and found myself let go because of financial issues where I worked. I have applied for over 200 posted positions, yes 200. Out of those apps, I got 10 interviews. The problem is the amount of people still out of work. Some hiring people I have spoken to say they can't get thru all the resumes they receive for a job. Add to that my current age, and hiring a 30 year old at half the salary and plenty of years left on the clock. I feel for many of those that are unemployed. I have been out of work for 1 3/4 years and unemployment ran out months ago. For those that tend to classify anyone on unemployment as deadbeats, first walk in some of our shoes. Good luck to anyone searching for a job and Happy Holidays!

  15. Applied for a change of address on my FID at the Evesham Township PD. It took just over a month to get my card back. I also had a friend apply for an FID and a P2P. He also got his papers in just over a month. Way to go Evesham PD.
