DO you have to worry about the receiver being stamped "AK-47" I believe that is illegal in this fine state of ours. -

I have not called the adjuster but my local pd told me last week that they just started to get some in. Might want to call the adjuster to verify. -
Just emailed Hannity
carl_g replied to mikeyboyeee's topic in NJ2AS - New Jersey Second Amendment Society's Discussion Forum
I just sent this to Hannity to both his fox & hannity.com addresses. Re: NJ needs your help! Sean, Since you are pretty much the only one in the media who is defending our second amendment rights, I thought I would write to you and see if you would be able to work this into your radio & TV show. The Citizens of New Jersey are under attack. You can find the NRA link to the full story here: http://www.nraila.org/legislation/state-legislation/2013/1/new-jersey-stop-anti-gun-bills-aimed-at-restricting-your-second-amendment-rights.aspx?s&st&ps Basically, 23 new anti- 2a bills have been introduced. NJ already has some of the most stringent gun laws in the country. These pieces of legislation make the recently passed laws in NY seem mild in comparison. The more people that are made aware and voice their opposition to this horrible legislation, the better the chance law abiding gun owners stand in defeating this. I would also like to mention that there is a rally scheduled for February 8, 2013 at the state capitol in Trenton, NJ. It is being organized by the New Jersey Second Amendment Society. All the information can be found on their website.(http://www.nj2as.com/) The Governor Chris Christie is scheduled to attend as well as a bunch of other prominent figures. Your support of this rally with any available bandwidth that you might have would be a great gift and be much appreciated. I hope this email finds you well. Keep up the good job! Regards, Carl -
I called last week and was told at least 4 more weeks.

Thanks I have just emailed NJ2AS and posted in the forum here: http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/45620-essex-county-mental-health-checks/ I have referenced all three post in this section. -
To whom it may concern, I have been trying to apply for my initial NJ FID card and a p2p permit. My local PD has told me that everything is in order and that they are just waiting for the mental health check to come back from the county. There are several threads on this topic located in the "NJ Gun Laws" section. You can find them below: http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/42641-essex-county-mental-health-records-destroyed-in-sandy http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/44044-essex-county-update/ http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/45601-taking-action-in-essex-county/ I called the county adjuster multiple times and she had informed me that their records were destroyed in hurricane Sandy and that it would be a couple of months to do any checks. During a follow up phone call today, the kind lady had told me that they were still "around 4 weeks out" before they could process any mental health checks. Essex County is huge and all of the residents are being prevented from exercising their 2 amendment rights. I believe Evan Nappen has been contacted. Is there anything that your organization would be able to do to help the citizens of Essex County? Thanks for your time.

Called again today.. They told me still no processing if records for at least 4 more weeks..
