Yeah I was looking at that also, PSA is a good brand, but I have my eye on a Daniel defense upper if I buy complete. I do really welcome the challenge of building this all from parts.

thanks for the info. I want to build the entire gun, so i know how to replace/repair in the future. I am definatly liking the DD complete upper, maybe if it comes in-stock in the next month ill get it. Othewise ill stay on track with the custom build for sure

Thanks HK, I ordered the PSA lower kit and now looking for an upper. Preferably a spikes or brownell, but we will see what is available in the next week

I recently received my FID and this the first chance i have to buy before potential lesgislative bans/laws that may affect the future of me being able to own an AR. That being said, this was the first lower i have found not selling for $400 and i bought it, because someone else will. Thanks for the responces and i am continuing to search for parts to build this AR. As far as gouging i mean that Bullseye isn't, the manufacturer, maybe not so much. I know the effects of supply and demand, demand goes up and supply goes down, prices rise. I dont want to pay more, but that unfortunatly what the current market is allowing. I want to put quality parts in this custom build. If i wanted a basic ar, i would have purchased a prebuilt AR for the rediculous price of $2k, at least from what i have seen available. Any help is appreciated on parts/manufacturers to avoid.

i have been in the market for an AR for a while. Now that i have the money, prices are rediculous if u can find a complete AR. I came across Bullseye Tactical and the had USA Tactical Lower receivers on order. The are not price gouging and i decided, what the hell, i might as well build it myself so i can have it exactly how i want it. My mai question is, now what? I have never built an AR, nor have had much experiance with them. I am very mechenically inclined, i fix my own cars and have 10 yrs exp in construction. yeah, no extention for me, as they are used already. good thing for an understanding wife. she will allow me to get another pistol so i dont lose out. i di have a plan for getting one in spring, but now it will be before valentines day. My app date was 7/20, so they just sat on it after it was ready.

Keep on them bro, I just purchased my first handgun and was told that my permits were extended already! Those lazy bastards lied to me and let my paperwork sit and rot on the desk. It was all done since 8/30 and they renewed it on 12/12 when I picked it up. All the times I stopped there to check on the status, they were sitting ready for me. I am so glad I am selling my house and moving out of town. Stay on them, even if u stop by once a week. Apparently the phone calls don't mean shit.

That's good, I hope u don't have to wait as long as I did. It seams like after I went to the pd the other day, they typed up my ID and permits ASAP. I never got mad, at least when talking to them. Just wait as paitently as u can, and check in with them once and a while. Unfortunately it is too close to Xmas and I will not be getting anything until the new year. Low and behold, detective Joe came through! Got my FID and 2 P2P! Now to make a purchase! Of course I get it today, my funds got cut into because of my car accident.

Went today to speak to Det. In charge, and what do u know? She wasn't there. I told them that I wanted to speak to some one now, then this other Det. Comes out trying to grill me on how busy they are and that SP never gets anything back it 30 days. He's like "it takes 90 days". So I said its been 5 months. He was like "Oh, ummm ok. Give me ur info and I'll have her call you in the morning when she gets in." IMHO it's more bull shit. I'll stop by tomorrow afternoon if she doesn't call by then. Just do ur job, it can't be that "busy". Don't use Sandy as an excuse either. I filed way before it was even an issue.

Left another message today. I'm pretty sure it's getting brushed aside, again. What to do? Call the state police Firearms investigations? I don't j ow anymore. Just got into a car accident, so my gun money is going to the deductible. My luck I'll get a callback to pick up. Just how my luck works.

Have the same situation in Keyport, been waiting 4 months. Det Hyman is the one who handles the interview, and she never calls back and seems to never be at the PD when i stop in to see whats going on with my FID app. Best bet is to call and ask for Gerilyn, she handles the paperwork until it is "all in". I am going to stop by tomorrow on my lunch hour and hope to catch her, if not i am going to call Gerilyn. No other option other that asking to speak to the Chief, she answers directly to him.

Hello all, i am a new member to the NJGF and hopefully gettin my ID card and P2P in the next coming weeks. I have waited 4 months already and no responce from the detective in charge of my app. No returned phone messages and seems to never be there when i stop by the PD, Kinda frustrating. I was hoping to get some goodies for Xmas. Any advice would be helpful Thanks in advance J

Hi, im from keyport also, been waiting 4 months for FID and Pistol permits. Had Fingerptints done on July 20th and handed in the paper work the same day. Hope u get your stuff soon. I am a patien person, but this is kinda rediculous.
