  1. Quick buy, met me at a halfway location for the transaction, good guy
  2. Purchased a pistol 2 weeks ago. They told me NICS was backed up 48-72 hours. Took 7 days. I have heard from ShoreShot that the State Police were misplacing people's paperwork (very few people, but it's happening). If it has been 7 days already, I would call you FFL and ask them to look into it.
  3. I'm new to firearms so I wanted to run this by the forum to get some feedback from more experienced folks. As a new pistol is broken in, is it common for there to be an increase in the trigger creep or trigger take up? I own a Kimber Warrior. Have put about 200 rounds through it so far. Shoots amazing. But I've noticed that there's a little more creep in the trigger now. Does this happen as part of the break in process, or is this an indicator of some sort of dysfunction with the pistol? Thanks for the input.
  4. Been a member for 2 weeks. Purchased my first pistol only about 2 weeks ago, too (Kimber Warrior). I know I went high end and I'm only a novice but I tried it, loved it more than the Sigs and Glocks and it just shoots like a dream for me. Just wanted to say how great the community is here. Things are tough for firearms owners in NJ so it's nice to see people sticking together and helping each other out. Dan
  5. I'm looking to hear if there is any scuttlebutt out there about gunshops getting their inventories back up (with respect to AR-15's). I'm looking to get my hands on an AR-15 (just a basic beginner one; it'll be my first rifle), and I know the timing couldn't be any worse. I was at Shore Shot this past Thursday and they were completely wiped out. One of the guys behind the counter told me that it sounded like things were beginning to calm down and that they'll have their inventory back up within a week or 2. So I was wondering if anyone else has heard anything at all about inventories being back up or the chances of being able to shop for an AR in the near future. Thanks.
  6. Truly appreciate all the feedback. I'm a new gun owner and have a lot to learn from everyone.
  7. I'm a new owner of a Kimber Warrior. I was wondering if any experienced owners had any recommendations on ammo that works best/most consistent. Brand, grain, range and home defense use? I'd really like to be able to purchase in bulk when I see it on sale somewhere and would like to subvert having to spend $100's on trying out all the different brands and types just to find what works best Thanks for the help.
