  1. If I'm reading the police report to remind myself of what happened...then whatever I'm being reminded of is in the police report. As a volunteer firefighter...in the 2-3 month period after the accident that the insurance companies seemed to wait to contact me...I was on at least 15 car accident scenes. After a while they all blend together.
  2. The police officer who took the original report at the scene asked me questions. If he did not document my statements made to him, then that's his doing. I should not be subjected to essentially what I'd consider harassment by insurance companies calling me 3 times a day, monday through friday, at all hours of the day, while I'm at work(or trying to sleep because at the time I was working nigh shifts) just for me to repeat the same exact statements I made to the officer at the scene. If anything, he would have the best(and honest) statement as it was still fresh in my mind then. A month or two later...I forget things. I literally received no less then 30 phone calls from 4 different insurance companies regarding the accident I witnessed(and it was very clear by the evidence at the scene who was the at fault driver).
  3. It says April 25th is the next Confrence day on http://www.supremecourt.gov/
  4. Just checked their schedule...25th is the next confrence.
  5. Me too. I keep refreshing this SCOTUSblog site...
  6. Never again will I ever "witness" an accident. I had insurance companies calling me for months. I finally told them I have no recollection of any accident. They left me alone after that.
  7. Last time I was in there he wanted $69.99 for a brick. That's why they have so much.
  8. NICS should be an essential operation. We cannot purchase firearms on any holiday...IMO it's infringing on the 2nd Amendment...but we have bigger issues to deal with right now.
  9. I agree though, today everyone should be at work. If you want to be religious and go to church- use a vacation or a personal day. I've never viewed Good Friday as that "big" of a holiday like Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, or Independence Day. I see it as more of a second rate holiday, like St Patricks Day, or Valentines Day. Yom Kippur is considered to be the holiest of days for Jewish people(or so Wikipedia says- I'm not Jewish so I don't know), yet it isn't a day state employees get off. I don't agree with people getting off for Election day either. Polls are open late, there is no reason people can't go to the polls after work. I could have been called into work today, as it isn't a federal holiday.
  10. So you want to work on Christmas? Or at least you want non-essential government employees to work on Christmas, Easter, etc?
  11. Not really. Closest one to Wildwood is Just Sports in Cape May Court House, but they don't really have a huge gun section. Usually only about ~20 guns in stock. Next closest is Belleplain Supply, but unless you brought bags of money with you, I wouldn't even bother going there. Just Sports is about 15 minutes from Wildwood, Belleplain Supply is probably about a half hour. Only guns you're going to find in Wildwood are the ones being carried by the drug dealers.
  12. Last Saturday. Girl working firearms counter(actually knowledgable too!) said they get a couple bricks in once a week, and there are usually people(hoarders) there to buy the ammo right when they open. Suprisingly they had 2 bricks still left on Saturday afternoon.
  13. They had a brick or two of Remington .22's last time I was in the one in Mays Landing. Limit one per customer.
  14. I lock the gun case with a master padlock(keyed), and use one of the cable locks that came with a pistol to lock the gun case to the inside frame of my luggage. I lock the luggage zipper with a TSA lock. Seems like over kill, but the cable lock means they either have to cut it off, or take my entire bag(like that's not suspicious). Harder to conceal a huge piece of luggage vs a small S&W pistol case. Have had stuff stolen out of my bag before, out of Orlando(didn't have a gun in the bag at the time). Orlando PD informed me that theft by the baggage handlers has been an ongoing issue they have been dealing with. I avoid Orlando now. 1. Go inside to check your bag. 2. Inform ticket agent you need to decare a firearm in the bag. They'll typically ask you if it's unloaded. 3. (I've only flown on Spirit with a gun) they make you sign the slip/tag. 4. Ticket agent puts orange tag around handle of gun case. 5. Lock the bag back up with TSA lock. After that, every airport I've been to handles the bag differently. Atlantic City, the ticket agent carries the bag back to the TSA and I guess just informs them there is a gun in the bag, they do their inspection, and on the plane it goes. They don't ask for the keys to the gun case anymore(they have in the past, but the ticket agent informed me they didn't open the gun case). At Orlando(MCO), they have a TSA baggage screening spot right near the ticket counter where you can actually watch the TSA do the inspection of your bag. They didn't ask for the keys. At West Palm Beach(PBI) they do the same thing as Atlantic City. No keys. Told me if there was any issues they would page me at the gate.
  15. No, I'm not. I already went to the range today with my friend. I have the receipt with my name on it(used my debit card to pay for the range time). I'm also going hunting down here for wild hogs, and handguns are allowed to be used(also have a FL FWC hunting permit). There was a State Trooper standing right at the ticket counter about 20ft away when I declared the pistol. He didn't say a word or even move from where he was standing. It's pretty obvious when the lady at the counter pulls out the big orange tag that says "Firearm Declaration" right on it. I'm sure he saw it too, as there was no one but me at the counter at the time. I used to work for the TSA and I can tell you that people(non LEO) fly with pistols quite often. The TSA does not open the firearms case anymore. Nor does the ticket agent require you to display that it is unloaded. I just had to sign the tag attesting that it was unloaded. I have flown with pistols to and from florida for quite some time, pretty regularly to be honest, and never have any issues.
  16. Try not to move to any place that uses NJSP as the police. Takes forever to get FID's/P2P's from them.
  17. I flew out of Atlantic City yesterday with my CCW pistol in my checked baggage(declared of course). No issues.
  18. It's a lever action, why can't you get it?
  19. The ATF is not a legislative body, so they can't just say "that's a firearm and that isn't". Is there a law on the books that constitutes what is considered a firearm, and what isn't?
  20. At what point of completion is that chunk of aluminum considered a firearm then?
  21. Absolutely will hold the weight of a nuke. The largest nuclear device ever detonated was by Russia, and it weighed 60,000lbs. The 777 has a payload capacity of around 247,000lbs. You wouldn't even have to worry about stripping the seats out.
