  1. And prices have spiked. Heck, there is a RRA stripped lower on Gunbroker right now for $1100.
  2. Cabela's reportedly took or is going to take action regarding AR-15 sales at its' CT store(for now...) http://www.latimes.com/business/money/la-fi-mo-walmart-dicks-cabelas-bushmaster-20121218,0,7553838.story
  3. At least our founding fathers had bayonets. I can't even have that on a semi-auto
  4. Depends on IF they grandfather the existing rifles in or not. If they do, there's still a market for aftermarket accessories. Just not as rapidly expanding as it is right now.
  5. From the State Police(my "municipal" police force)? The SGT on duty said they came typed up from Trenton.
  6. They are good for their Remington 870's. Best prices around on them.
  7. I keep getting people on Facebook saying "People shouldn't be allowed to own assault rifles. Being able to spray bullets isn't something a hunter needs".
  8. I didn't. I simply called and asked if my FID and P2P's were in, they said no, we'll call you when they are in. I then explained to the Trooper that as per NJ state law I was supposed to have my FID(or not) within 30 days. I said that I felt that I've been more than patient waiting for 9 months. I told him I would be filing a complaint with the AG. He said "well, let me put in a call to find out the status, I'll call you back within the hour". Sure enough he called back and told me I'd have my FID and P2P by the end of that week. Apparently just the "threat" of filing a complaint gets things moving.
  9. Yikes. I guess I'll stick with the CCI Mini-Mags.
  10. We do not require background checks on all fireams (only handguns). Are we not required to have a background check in order to get a FID? And every gun purchased at a FFL is run through NICS, National Instant Criminal Background Check System. We have not closed the gun show loophole nor required background checks on long guns at gun shows. I haven't seen a gun show in NJ except when I roll up my sleeves We do not require safety training/testing for gun purchasers. While this is true, I do not oppose safety training for gun purchasers. We do not require a license to possess all firearms. We're required to have a FID to purchase firearms. What do they mean by "license"? We do not require ammunition purchaser records be kept nor vendors licensed. Every gun shop I've been in for the past few years has kept ammunition purchasing records, and for all handgun ammo they've asked for a FID. We do not ban purchase of large capacity magazines of more than 10 rounds (only more than 15 rounds.) Ok, this is true. I don't see the big deal when most other states allow people to have 100 round drums. Are we as citizens of New Jersey less trustworthy than Floridians?
  11. Or they'll do what the State Police did to me, and say the FBI hasn't come back with the prints yet, forget to send the paperwork to Trenton, etc. I had to threaten to file a complaint with the AG(as did my friend) after 9 months of waiting. I had my permit within the week after I said I was going to do that. You'll be lucky if you see your FID before March.
  12. Thanks, Don't know why I was thinking Remington I'll have to try it out. I'm sure it'll run in the 15-22 if not. I'm going to call the store tomorrow to make sure they have it before I drive up there with all of the Christmas shopping traffic.
  13. My Buckmark pistol is pretty finicky about .22 ammo(so far it only "likes" CCI Mini-Mags). Any insight into the Winchester M22 ammo?
  14. I have a FID card, and already bought ammo for it so I'm good to go.
  15. I have the YHM Phantom on mine as well, and yes, it does the same thing.
  16. Sounds good to me. Now I just have to get over the sentimental thoughts and actually get out and use it at the range
  17. I had a Glock 19 left to me by my grandfather when he passed away in 2005. Since 2005, the pistol has been in the apartment they were living in, in a safe. We didn't have the combination until my aunt just came across it while moving my grandmother. We just moved her to an assisted living unit due to some health issues, and we decided it was time for the gun to come home with us. Will I need a copy of the will when I submit the SP-650, the Voluntary Form of Firearms Registration? I don't have a copy of that, I believe my grandmother has it, and that might be tough to locate since she's dealing with some serious memory loss issues. I can apply for a P2P if necessary, but I'm just a bit anxious to begin using the gun at the range.
  18. South Jersey Shooting Club isn't terribly far, and is $250 a year, pretty reasonable for NJ.
  19. I'm in the market for .223/5.56, 7.62x54r, .40s&w, and 9mm brass. PM me if anyone wants to donate. I'm in Southern NJ as well. EDIT: Also, 5.7x28 for my friend.
  20. I've been watching their Daily Deals on Facebook, or more recently the "AR-15 days of Christmas". Yesterday they posted up a barreled upper no BCG or CH for $299, and GAURANTEED to ship in 3 business days. You should see the response they got from people on Facebook wondering when the uppers they ordered on Black Friday would be shipped. In no way should they offered such a deal prior to getting caught up. Just from reading about their terrible communication(not answering phones, not replying to e-mails, and even deleting peoples facebook comments) has made up my mind if I'll ever order something from them. Definitely not. If they are so busy, that means they are making money. They need to spend some of that money and hire more people for customer service and shipping.
  21. Should it be brought to the attention of the State Police? Well they took a photocopy of my license when I put in for my FID at their barracks.
  22. Thanks Petros, it was a pleasure doing business. Wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.
