Best theory so far for the disappearance o flight MH370.
plode replied to ryan_j's topic in General Discussion
I too think it was hijacked/or the pilot(s) were in on it's disappearance. It "disappeared" at all too perfect of a time- right when one ATC would hand off to the next. I have been reading a lot of the theories out there, and I agree that it's going to be used in a very bad way...when and how are the next questions. -

That doesn't address the fact that the transponder was turned off prior to the last radio contact. Why, if there was an electrical fire, would they not alert air traffic controllers of the issue during that contact? If a fire got to the point of burning the transponder, or it's wiring, don't you think some sort of alarm would have alerted the pilots to the fire? -

Where to buy 80% lower in bricks and mortar shop?

Lets say our genius legislators one day make a law banning any form of an AR, labeling them as assault rifles, and that they all must be confiscated, with no grandfathering. If the state police or ATF come into your shop...there is a paper trail leading to me saying I own a lower receiver. Then the state police come knocking to confiscate the "assault weapon". With a 80% lower- you can't confiscate something you don't know I own. It's also kind of fun to build something yourself. It's like taking assembling a lower receiver to the next level. -
Not as big. But another plus is zero sales tax.

When they quoted me a price on a blue label Glock, the pricing was a good bit more than what other blue label dealers are selling them for.

NJ.com Poll - Here we go again.
plode replied to 45Doll's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
No- 93.84% (3060) Yes-6.01% (196) I don't know-0% (5) Now we just need all 3000 of those people to show up at the hearing in Trenton. -
I buy a lot of stuff from Ham Radio Outlet. They are right over the Delaware Memorial Bridge in Newark, DE. Pretty soon I'll be able to hit the Ham Radio Outlet, and then Cabelas. My bank account is really going to hate for it though. Zero sales tax, and no shipping costs.

My friend has one and he loves it, no problems with it. I've shot it, and it is nice. I might buy one myself soon.

I'll be there. My friend got us into a club box somehow(said we will have buffet and the whole nine yards). Also have pit passes.

Call to ask about reimbursement for damage to your vehicle from a pothole on a state road. When you get on the line with the Governor, fire off the gun related question(pun intended? ). Oops...I changed my mind about what I wanted to ask him while I was on hold. -

Calling Sweeney's office again in a few minutes so they know I haven't changed my mind . Operation annoy the crap out of Sweeney, and clog up his phone lines- round 2. -
One of our county wide newspaper has a anonymous editorial section called the "Spout Off". I read one the other day that someone claimed while riding his/her motorcycle he/she hit some pot holes and nearly crashed because of them, adding that someone is going to be hurt or killed if the road is left like it is. I've since been down the particular road in a truck, and I have to say...the road is pretty much crumbling apart. I would not want to ride my motorcycle down it for fear I might disappear into one of the pot holes and never be heard from again. The county is to blame as the road was never maintained in the past years. They filled some of the large potholes about 80 times over(patches on top of patches), but they never bothered with the thousands of cracks all over the road, which have now turned into potholes this year.

Their poll graphic/formatting is screwed up here, but done. -

Done. If it only annoys Sweeney, it was worth it to me -
None, but I've built all of my AR's from stripped lowers. I don't like buying manufactured AR's; it's cheaper to build exactly what I want the first time.

I am my favorite AR builder.

After they replaced mine twice, I got the car back with no sticker. I asked the body shop, and they told me "must have accidentally went into the trash, go run it through inspection, we can't give you a sticker". I don't remember when it was supposed to be inspected, but I haven't bothered to run it through, and haven't had any issues(with cops).

I will never use or recommend Safelite again. Their drug addict of an employee caused over $1900 in damage to my car. Came to replace the windshield and it was below freezing out. I ran an extension cord outside for him to use. Offered him something hot to drink. He put the new windshield in crooked(wasn't sealed in numerous spots), looked like he used sandpaper on the two A pillars and roof line(scratched down to the bare metal in some spots), left all of the garbage all over my interior, and left before I could even inspect the work. Left the receipt under my windshield wiper. The local safelite manager and owner came to my house and seemed very annoyed. They told me to take the car to three body shops and get estimates. I took it around, and the body shops could not believe that a simple windshield replacement by an otherwise reputable company caused so much damage. After finally getting safelite to commit to fixing their shotty work, I took it to the cheapest body shop they picked, and got a rental car on their dime. It took a little bit over a week, where they had to remove the windshield, sand, paint, clear coat, and blend the roof line, the pillars and the hood. They then replaced the windshield with a new one, and detailed the car since the safelite left trash all over the interior. I had bits of weather stripping in the back seat. When I went to pick the car up, the paint line was very obvious. They never blended it in with the existing paint. So I had to wait another two days while they worked on that. The body shop also stole my change out of my cup holder(couldn't have been more then a couple of dollars, but stealing is stealing-doesn't matter if it's a dollar or a thousand dollars, all the same in my book). So...I'll never recommend Safelite of Absecon, NJ, or Marmora Auto Body in Marmora.

Should be on the original copy of his COE.
-
Exactly. I know they have been terrorizing a local horse farm, and a friend of mine has had them on his surveillance cameras several times around his chicken and rabbit coups, but luckily they couldn't get past the fence he put up around them. I don't mind the decline in turkeys, I hit one of those in my car and it caused me $374 in damages.

Like General Tso's chicken.

I had some confusion with this on my last(only private purchase of a pistol I've made). NJSP is my local PD, so I wasn't sure what to do with the one copy that was supposed to go to the local PD. I called the Firearms unit and they seemed confused by my question. I mailed them both to Trenton after the local barracks told me they didn't want the one copy. Never heard anything back from anyone, so I guess that was OK.

I love my S&W M&P 45. Well, except for the price of the ammo that I currently can't really afford.
