  3. Does anyone else think this discussion is a case study in dysfunction? Jeezus, live life. Hand wringing doesn't solve a thing. Who gives a shit? Let's say you buy a pistol with a 15 round mag. How many 15 round mags do all we have? 100's of thousands? Let's say they pass a ten round limit? So what? Doesn't the safe act say that you can have 15 round mags but you just can't load more than ten? Or am I mistaken? We NJ gun owners are the silliest bunch pretty much ever. You have a permit, use it. Not exercising your 2nd amendment rights, the the extent they exist in this god forsaken state, is a travesty. Once again I am amazed at some of these questions. And you make fun of haikus? Really? Make fun of this thread.

  5. I have a buddy that's a fund manager. Pretty much lights cigars with bennies. He thinks all of us civilians are idiots. His rules: never ever bet on disaster never bet on bull markets always look out at least 5 years out don't churn your accounts buy what you use never ever "invest" what you can't lose sounds easy and common sense, right? He tells me that 95% of investors break at least two of the above.

  7. There is a quote that. I've always referred to today. By mark twain. "When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years." its my second Father's Day celebrating without my dad . Still not used to being the guy, like my dad was. eventually it will be my day . But at least today, it's still his ...

  18. Michael Caine has a pretty full punch card. I think he's earned a free life. Think of all the movies (and women) he's gone through since this one. Here's a guy not afraid of death.
  19. I'll throw my 2¢ in... we have a call center as part of the services we offer. So I've tried multiple platforms and services. We have a custom voip system that does almost everything. The important bit is that I have a crew that is traveling most of the time, and the large American penchant for ridiculous conference calls requires mobile solutions. 10 years worth of trying all sorts of things ended up very close to where we began. We use Zoiper and Spark. Zoiper is a paid app that can integrate with almost any voip system so we can use our call routing and conference systems on the go. We use spark to text amongst ourselves during conf calls. Mostly to make fun of the clients. The importance of this is that all our calls are recorded important to us as we can review conference calls. The two work great on iPhones. The only recent issue is that it seems that 5G systems can cause some issues, mostly due to an encryption model that has yet to be fully implemented. The next version of the iPhone should address that. Please droid fanboys, I get it. It made sense to standardize the platform to make deployment easier. Look into Zoiper. If you have colleagues in the same boat, spark becomes pretty necessary. YMMV.

  21. Silent Running, early 1970's fox theater in Hackensack. Remember like it was yesterday never saw the movie again, but I remember the story.
  22. Funny story, of you remember "All the Right Moves" was out at the same time as "The Right Stuff" i went on a date to the old Century theater by the garden state plaza, when it was my turn at the box office, I said "All The Right Stuff" the clerk was like "what movie man?" Long story short it took about five minutes for my dumb ass to get it straight.
