  1. Bedminster PD, Bedminster Township, Somerset County, NJ Dropped off application for change of address and 2 p2pp on 6/29/2015. Informed it could take up to 5 weeks. Got the call today (7/22/2015) that they are ready for pickup. 23 DAYS! They have a very courteous and efficient employee working on applications as part of her job. Called once to inform me that they received everything but the mental health portion from my previous county. Called two days later to say they received it and they were ready to be picked up. Great job BPD!
  2. Lol, I deleted it because of the man not because of you. Figured I'd eliminate a getting a felony charge using a simple google search.
  3. Yeah I got it. Just another day in the life of an NJ gun owner trying to enjoy the sport and navigate successfully through all the rules and regs.
  4. From HexMag: All of our magazines have a slight extra spacing to allow for any rifle to easily chamber the round without failing to feed. If you do load the 16th round in the magazine, you probably had to force it in and this will regularly make the magazine inoperable as the 16th round should not be able to be chambered. We have hired a law firm in the past to work with the DOJ to ensure our magazines were held to the highest assured compliance with the law. We have been informed that our magazine’s riser system is even better compliantly with the laws on restrictions instead of pinning or blocks. If you choose to force the 16th round in the magazine, you are then exceeding the intended use of the magazine and we are not accountable for it. Load 15 rounds into your magazine as intended and it is completely compliant with the law.
  5. Anytime! Me too! From what I have seen so far on the web they look promising. There is a 3 month/1000 round review video on youtube that didn't turn up any major issues and they survived the usual torture tests of dropping them, running them over, etc.
  6. If anyone is interested I found this deal from wise tactical: http://www.wisetactical.com/firearm-accessories/magazines-accessories/rifle-magazines/hexmag-15-30-15-round-223-5-56-magazine-co-nj-legal/ If you buy 4 or more you qualify for an additional 20% using coupon code HEXMAG20. Ray
  7. Just wanted to update my progress. Went to GFH the other night. Man what a place. I passed it twice on the road due to the fact that it looks like no other gun range I've been to. Charlie fingerprinted me and took my photo for $10. App was already filled out and had made a copy of my NRA cert myself. Popped it in the mail the next day. I couldn't be happier. I will definitely go back to shoot. Ray
  8. Gun for Hire is the way to go for sure. I've talked some people on this forum that seem to think you still need to go to the PD for fingerprinting since FL requires a LEO to do it. You seem to have first hand knowledge that is just not true. Am I missing something?
  9. I guess for people like me who's county sheriff doesn't offer fingerprinting and local coverage is NJSP we don't have any other option besides going to a company like GFH or RTSP for one of their courses right? Ray
  10. Hello All, I have a 60s era sporterized Mauser K98 that I'd like a gunsmith to look over. Basically want to know if the gun is safe to shoot and is still the original caliber. Does anyone know someone I could take this to in Sussex, Warren or Morris County? Thanks, Ray
