  1. So I took my first 2 hours drive out to Cabela's in PA today. All I can say is, "WOW!!!!" Outside of the enormity of the store, it was such a shock to walk into a firearms store that had racks of rifles and shotguns that you can literally just walk up to pick up as if it was a bag of chips at the grocery store. I was there for roughly 3 hours and I could've spent so much longer if it wasn't for the SO. All the accessories and firearms related paraphernalia was overwhelming. Just seeing ailes of ammo arranged by the different calibers was something else as well. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. Sadly they didn't have an left handed rifles as I was looking for one. The ammo prices were ridiculous compared to what I see here in NNJ! I already have a case of 9mm ammo at home but couldn't resist to pick up a few hundred rounds while I was there. I wasn't even ID'ed when I checked out with the ammo. It was an eye opener and kinda sombering to see how tough/strict we have it here in NJ. All in all, I'm definitely a fan and can't wait to go back!
  2. Haha! If only we were allowed to carry...
  3. More importantly, can you find a GIF of Andrea pulling her pants up? ;-P
  4. I was down to the G19 gen4, Px4 Storm, 92FS, and M&P as my choices a couple of weeks ago. You have to go with what feels best for you. Everyone told me G19 but I went with the Px4 Storm and I couldn't be happier. If you can, shoot and handle your narrowed down choices as much as possible and go with what feels best for you. No matter what you choose, it will be a solid choice as you listed very efficient/reliable choices.
  5. I haven't heard a peep about this story on CNN nor on the 10 o'clock news this evening. They were still talking about that pro gun control rally in DC.
  6. I was actually in the same boat. There really isn't an advantage IMO of one over the other as far as functionality goes. Go with what feels best in your hand. The only draw back is that you only get 10 round magazines with the 17 but as somone said earlier, you can get a 17 round magazine pinned back to 15.
  7. HA! I'm willing to take any excess 9mm ammo you have.
  8. Welcome! I'm from Fair Lawn as well. I'm happy to see more gun owners in our community.
  9. Congrats and welcome! I hope you have a quick turnaround with the paperwork. Consider taking an NRA safety course (first steps pistol/shotgun). Also join NRA and NJ2AS.
  10. +1 I couldn't have said it better. Welcome and best of luck on finding what you feel is best for you.
  11. Just last Monday it was a 4 box limit! It went down to 2 box by the weekend and now 1. Magazines have been flying off the shelves as well!
  12. I'm in for boxes! I got a SB box party at the Brownstone on Monday, can't wait!
