  1. Any chance of lawsuit or threat of, to stop this bill to look into the legality how this was taken to a second committee to be passed?
  2. Did everything he said he was going to do, very accomodating and professional. Will do business with again anytime thank you.
  3. First Id like to say I always support local small business but sometimes I find things that arent available here in NJ. Example I found a particular rifle I would like to buy on gunbroker> thats not avaiable anywhere I looked in NJ. Its being sold by a way out of state FFL. The only thing that makes this particular Rifle non NJ compliant is the folding stock, and naturually the ad states no shipping to NJ. I get that, they dont want to get into trouble. My plan was to pin or have the stock pinned before transfer to me either way. So my question is do I have to contact a PA FFL and if so who is reliable w/o any BS, song and dance way too expensive or just plain lazy, or can a NJ ffl request shippment with the condition the stock is pinned prior to transfer to me? Would there be any issues if me the auction winner is from NJ and pay but have it shipped to PA? Btw whenever i bought NJ Compliant stuff out of state I always used a FFL listed on our board for the transfer. I believe in supporting our own. I have 17 hours left on the auction and would please like some input. Thank in advance.
  4. SO I pick up a glock 26, now I could use some input as far as bullet weight ammo for this little pocket rocket. I was thinking 124gr+p for the 26, or is it a waste because the short barrel wont burn up the extra powder. and just cause a bigger bang, muzzle flip, energy wasted? Should I go lighter in bullet weight / forget all about the +p and go standard velocity etc? Any input appreciated and I hope I explained the question right.
  5. Yesterday I went to gun shop to pay for a new gen 4 glock 30. BTW this is my favorite gun of all time, so it pains me to say this, and is in no reflection of glock quality control, because that is all I own. So. I was there with my brother and we are both glock armorers. I rack the slide of a nib glock 30 and it feels like its hanging up toward the end, strange I hand it off to my brother and the counter guy. Its not racking properly. . Ok maybe small defect, so we proceed to go thru the other 6 the store just recieved, all the same. I take out my gen 3 to compare, no problems smooth as pie. we open them all up for quick visiual inspection, all appears in order, but it wont rack right. I turn to counter guy and say you have a problem here. He agrees and proceeds to call his other store, who state we just sold 9 yeterday and they have one left, they confirm same issue with their unsold one. Crap, they say we gotta call all the people they sold too and get them back. They call Glock while i'm statnding there and Glock says its gotta be the spring, so we will send out new springs right away. My gut tells me this is not it. It feels like something is out of line, pure speculation only here , but it almost feels like the injection moulding machine etc got out of line slightly during production. They confirmed Glock ramped up production to try and accomodate 100000 guns a week/a month not sure, something was bound to happen. I mess with their other Glock pistols and all appears to be in order, in fact I purchased a 26 while I was there. It seems isolated to the new 30's that they recieved ,7 confirmed , 9 waiting for return. AGAIN IM NOT BASHING GLOCK, that is all I own and will continue to buy, but please do yourself a favor and check out any new 30's you see in there store. BTW I looked at the new 30s and was not impressed, it seems unfinished for what they wanted to do.

    Glock 26 vs 27?

Ended up with the 26. I feel that controllable recoil and fast accurate follow ups trump the larger cal in this particular gun.

    Glock 26 vs 27?

Thought I would beat this horse a little more. Tomorrow morning im going to purchase either a glock 26 or 27. My logic is all over the place on this one. I never liked the 27 40 cal recoil in that little gun, but I can appreciate that I can change the caliber to a 9mm (essentially the 26). 2 guns in one, I cant switch with the 26. So either way they will be a 9mm gun either by factory or by conversion barrel. I do stock 40 and 9mm cal ammo for my other guns anyway, so the question is, glock 27- 2 for one gun or dedicated 9mm in the 26. If anyone has ever done the conversion, is there any issues with reliability, does the extractor and spring also have to be changed? Anything else im not seeing. Sorry I know it sounds like baby stuff but I hate buying stuff twice. Thanks in advance.
  8. I havnt seen one yet, but I gotta tell you the regular 30 I shot is a very comfortable "soft" shooter
  9. Glock 30 handles the recoil a little better because of a little more weight , so Ive read yesterday.
  10. second time dealing with david, just as good as the first, super fast payment, thank you.
  11. Is it reasonable for everybody here to just bring one new member to the NRA and/or second amendment society? Starting today on, Just one if not more? I applaud all the efforts done so far, but it apears more numbers are needed. Seems the issues are being pushed more on the state level vs federal. divide and conquer?

    357 Sig

How is the recoil/ follow up shots compared to a 40 if you know?

    357 Sig

This is a good idea, get a glock/sig 40 and 357 barrel or vise versa. Just a word of advise, this round has alot of power behind it. Let me now state the obvious, if you are going to use it for self defense choose a good modern self defense round. something that will expand to slow that bullet down, overpenetration can be an issue, gel tests may or may not confirm this. (depends on which ons you see) I have a friend who is a Leo and told me a story of their pd shooting a suspect with this round, it went through the car door, through the suspect , out the other side of the other door and never recovered. Yes that is only one story in one town. Yes the clothes etc could have clogged the tip etc and made it act as a fmj. I like this round, it commands respect. Report and flash are truely impressive as well as ballistics. Having both barrels is like having two guns Im not talking you in or out of it, in fact I want one. Just consider what you want to use it for, self defense, expensive plinker, or do it all gun?

  17. What I meant to say by gun going off is a surprise is , one should not focus all their attention and thought while pulling the trigger on thinking "oh crap the guns gonna shoot now, here it goes, here it comes" You attention should be on the front sight/ target and smooth trigger pull as you are doing it. If your finger is already on the trigger that means its go time, you are ready to go, and we all know to never ever put the finger on the trigger unless you intend to fire. By having a smooth trigger pull which takes tons and tons of practice, I used to make my students say "squeeeeeeeeze" out loud as they take up the slack and pull that trigger, as a mental distraction, because it takes their mind off the "oh crap here it comes" mental anticipation. Its hard to concentrate on two things at once. Sounds complicated but its not. better shown than written
  18. http://commonwealthcriminaljusticeacademy.com/articles/FundamentalofHandgun.pdf This seems to be a good beginners guide, sometimes it better to shoot with somebody, especially if they are more experienced. I used to take an empty shell casing and put it on the slide behind the front sight, practice dry firing without the casing moving or falling at all, when you squeeze the trigger it should be smooth and when the gun goes bang at the range, it should be a surprise to u, if you have good trigger dicipline. WARNING PLEASE MAKE SURE THE GUN IS SAFE AND UNLOADED AND CHECKED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE ANY DRY FIRING PLEASE. I know its common sense but you would be surprised
  19. Low left on the handgun if the sights are right on is some anticipation of the shot (causing low) and jerking the trigger or too much or too little in the trigger (causing left). Let somebody else shoot your same gun / check the sights as far as right and left go. The solution believe it or not is some dry fire/ to practice trigger control. Shooting is a perishable skill/ use it or loose it. Thats as far diagnosis I can do without seeing you shoot. I know I told you nothing your chart doesnt say, but your issue is way common in the majority of shooters. Practice, draw and dry fire slow rack the slide do it again. Make sure you have a good slid grip n the backstrap without white knucking the gun. This is info is based on my experience with Glocks and teaching hundreds of students with the same issue. One more thing shoot the stance you are most comfortable with/ but I always recommend being square to the target. Strong leg slightly back , knees bent lean into the target.
