Here's an interesting discussion of this from The Federalist this morning:

    https://thefederalist.com/2021/11/08/6-things-we-just-learned-about-the-supreme-courts-gun-rights-case/

I particularly liked the part where NYS was trying to make the case that it was safer to have people carrying firearms in less populated areas than in denser areas, to which Justice Roberts quipped, "How many people get mugged in the woods?"

The follow up question should have been, where’s  the geography clause on the 2A?

What paperwork, if any, is required when traveling legally in NJ. Say going from home to range. FID card, copy of permit to purchase, certificate of eligibility?

Well that depends. If you are driving, you need a drivers license. If you are walking, you don't need anything. You don't need to carry any paper work related to your firearms.

"ACB humiliated Democrats when she revealed that the Supreme Court is not made up of “partisan hacks.” Their decisions are not swayed by what might happen. Instead, they rule based on the law and Constitution".

Oh please. Who wrote this garbage? ACB didn't humiliated anybody.

Every time the court is accused of being made up of partisan hacks, which they are, btw, a member of the opposing side that's making the accusations comes out denying them. it's SOP.

and, a second BTW, ACB and Kavannaugh were horrible picks that will turn out to be worse than Souter. The only difference between them and Souter is that will take them lesser time to be relaible leftwing votes.

thing i been worried about latley is "the call"....and living with the fact i abandoned them for freedom....

TN is the place where I'll end up.

I got the call, twice, from across an ocean and thousand of miles away.

The thing is they knew, understood and never critized my choices that put an ocean between us. We lived on phone calls, (hell, I'm so old that in the beginning  was letters) and early visits.

Sure I have regrets and I also abandoned them for freedom, economic freedom. But leaving them when and why I did it isn't one of them. I regret I didn't visit them  more often when I could.

Their level of ignorance and hatred of firearms and firearms ownership remains astounding. As a another member here has often said: They hate you and want you dead.

They want absolute control and then full tyranny can accelerate. (It has already begun.)

    It's not ignorance. It's malice.

And it's nota blank hate of firearms ownshership. It's hate of firemarm ownership by certain classes of people.

My recent trip to Gettysburg has reminded me, just how often SCOTUS has gotten it totally fucking wrong.

That and the fact that SCOTUS is basically now a dog with no teeth in terms of enforcing their rulings.

They never had any teeth to enforce their decisions; they relied on the honor of those affected by their decisions to obey them.

while Andrey Jackson may never have said"  John Marshall made his decision; now let him enforce it" he did write something to the effect that the court didn't have any means to enforce it.

  8. After being born and raised in Europe ( not in a comblock country) but having lived most of my adult life in the US as a naturalized American I never thought I would consider retiring in any other place but the US.

Sure, the gun laws in Florida or Tennessee will always be better than in the Czech Republic. But it also doesn't have any of this CRT, common core and all the assorted leftist bulshit that plagues the US.

It should surprise no one that the folks that experienced the blessings of socialism/communism last want it the least.

Besides it's never too late to learn a new language.

Sure! The gopher will lock down now. Then open up just before election! SHOWS HOW HE CARES AND WHAT A HERO HE IS!!!! The POS!!!

Now, ask me how I really feel!

He won't even need to open up before the election. He'll sell the lock down being in the interest of public health and lemmings will lap it up. We've seen it before even amount the staunchest constitutionalist among  us here.

  10. I almost fell over when I  found out how much the newly hired gopher is making. And from what I was told, they refused the first offer which was substancially higher then what they were making.

Damn. Don't y'all be surprised everything you buy costs a lot more today than it did six months ago.

And it will be a long time before it gets better. Once the sugar daddy tuns on the spigot , it's very hard to turn it off.
